Mass Effect 2

I've finally gotten around to playing this game now and I don't know why I ever put it off. Damn it is good. I think it may actually be one of my favorite game series ever. The story and atmosphere is amazing. The design of the environment and characters, the sounds and ambient music, the interaction between the characters, it's so damn engrossing.

So far I've only picked up the Professor and Archangel and done a lot of planet surveys but damn the story is good. Got me all misty eyed more than once already.

I kept ME 1 installed so that when I started ME2 I could port my save games from the old one. Pretty cool to see how many of my actions carry over now. Oh and of course, I have all the delicious money and ressources from the ending of the game. Nice to start the game with a head start.

I started a new character and got carpal tunnel syndrome from all the mining, but it was definitely worth it! I'll use the same character in my second playthrough, though :p



But yeah, friggin awesome game, absolutely love it! Can't wait for ME3!


But I'v never managed to get romantically involved with any of the other characters, for some reason it really creeps me out :p

I did the dirty with the blue chick in ME1 but so far I'm staying "uninvolved" in ME2. That councilor chick that works as my secretary is really asking for it though, also I have a feeling the old doctor wants to jump Sheppard, which is kind of dirty and hot :p

Haven't played Mass Effect 2 yet.... I want to, too many games and too little time (and this one is supposed to be a big'un as far as investment involved ).

I've read and seen good reviews for it (supposed to be a game of the year contender).... also, I hear if you play your cards right in the game, you can have sex with the hot spy chick from the show Chuck.

The save from ME1 I used for ME2 was one where I'd gotten with Ashley. On my first ME2 play through I boned the quarian, but then I had to play through again being faithful to Ashley. I felt bad being unfaithful. In a science-fiction game.

You did Jack? Were you playing Paragon or Renegade?

From what I understood from the ship councillor, if you didn't want to disappoint Jack or make her turn homicidal murderess on you while you were sleeping one night, you best option was to try and befriend her but not attempt to make a pass on her. Of course, I'm also pretty sure that the councillor wants to jump your bones and fears Jack, so maybe she was lying... that bitch!

I did pretty much everything you can in these games. My main playthrough though? Ashley, then Tali (Ash really needs to stfu)

Infiltrator is soooo severely OP in ME2 it's not even funny... I also loved Vanguard and the biotic charge, totally different gameplay than other classes.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

Because if you choose the right dialogue, she sees how much of a dick she's being. And as in real-life, I think overcoming the prejudices you grow up with is more impressive than being lucky enough to grow up with parents and an environment that pretty much pre-program you to be non-bigoted. 

In ME2, the fact that she's happy to see you alive is overshadowed by the fact that she wails on you for joining an extremist racist organisation.

That aside, if you haven't been there yet, you should visit the Normandy crash site, the find and read Pressley's log... heart-warming stuff...

Jack will make pass on you early. I forget how she phrases it but it should be pretty obvious at that point that your not close and this is just sex. If you take that option she will never really speak to you like a friend ever. If you say no but continue to try to befriend her you can get a real relationship. I had every female on the crew after me in my game. They all said they would wait for me to end it with miranda. But she is that hot spy chick from chuck and I wanted a piece of that too bad.

Miranda is the rich-born high life cheerleader girl... But hell ain't she annoying at times. Seriously. Also, I don't really like camel toes.
