if i got it right she was possesed by the eresal.
the eresal is than a spirit ?
(does she have any relation to the eresal in HoC which was trapped under a stone and spell and which karsa and his friends release ?)
after t'ambre died, the eresal stayed alive to aid icarium.
does that mean that the eresal can continue possessing people, or is it's job over and it "moved on" ?

I'm rusty on Karsa's story but I think it was a Forkrul Assail (spelled that way?) that Karsa released. Also the Eras'al was ........ using..... Bottle even before T'amber died .

its actually a FA that they release called Calm not the Eresal

Also the Eresal probably the one story that has confused me the most, jst dunno what their crack is! Hoping to get a better picture on this reread!

the eres'al that possesses amber, uses bottle and trull sengar is not your typical eres'al. in fact she may be the only eres'al, while the race are known as eres. she is the last of her line apparently and has become some sort of time travelling spirit-god. not to much is known of her. i think silchas speaks a bit about her in RG, but i'll leave it at that

It is, almost certain, that the reason why the Eres/Eres'al is active now, is because of the blessing given to the Nerek in MT. They are descendants of the Eres'al and wh

Also, the Eres'al wasn't "posessing" T'amber, at least not in the same way, as, say Apsalar was posessed. T'amber was still T'amber just with some.. benefits and influences, maybe even direct contact/communication, who knows

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

my question about T'amber would be, if she knew (and if, what her thoughts about the possession were). She was a minor character without a POV, but it would have been interesting. also when did the possession start? I guess it is at that point when Tavore seems to know many things.

the spirit said, while t'ambre's body was near death, that the woman sacrificed herself knowingly.
meaning that t'ambre allowed the spirit to posses her, knowing the results in advance.

yes actually now thinking this over, she did know about the Eres'al within her. all the more amazing to sacrifice oneself that way.

i assumed that she allowed herself to be possesed, and in so doing being like a guest within her own body.

Are we sure T'amber is(was)(or was possessed by) an Eres'al? I thought it might have been some ascendant. For a while, i thought it could have been Lady Envy, cuz she'd been out of the loop for a while, Although the more i think a bout the less likely it sems. Its probably cuz i read too fast, and i skipped som important detail. ALSO, i was wondering, is T'amber Tavore's only source of information she isnt supposed to know?

t'amber wasn't just possessed by an eres'al, she was possessed by the eres'al, the monkey goddess, the last innocent creature, last of her species, time-travelling, seed-stealing, definitely ascended and completely inscrutable.

The Eres'al is the Weaver of Life in Fiddler's reading.
T'amber was a concubine (priestess) in the Grand Temple of the Queen of Dreams - who is of course Queen of High House Life - in Unta.
The Queen of Dreams is also the Goddess of Divination - hence T'ambers knowledge of the deck of dragons.
The Eres'al didn't possess T'amber, she used her

So that's where the connections occur.

wow hetan, you really understand a lot of what is going on, i love the read, but when you put that type of logic into things, well to me it is impressive. I didn't think about T'Amber being possessed, or used, I didn't really think it was pivitol so I did not dwell on it. Thanks
