Well I've been lurking here for a while, but since I'm about to finish Dust of Dreams (60 pages left...) I figured I should check this place for news on The Crippled God and to just chat with others who like the malazan books. And ofcourse that means saying hello here first, so hello. :D

Sixty pages left? Oh boy. Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

And just finished the book. THose last 60 pages was like epic on steroids... Except the fact that that cliff-hanger was seriously annoying. :D

But there's a good reason: TCG will be like those 60 pages from beginning to end.

Ofcourse, but that means I have to wait for TCG first, and I'm not a very patient woman. Oh well guess I'll just read ICE's books for now.

I do have the Bauchelain & Korbal Broach novellas.. but I admit I was never that fond of those two. (No need to pelt me with rotten fruit!!!) So I'll probably read NoK and RoCG first, then see if TCG is in the stores when I'm done with those. But I agree, fast writers is a good thing!

Basically we were at the BBQ and Tiste revealed that he hadn't finished TTH, so Cougar said,
Spoiler

By the way this post contains spoilers so if you haven't got TTH yet I recommend you unread everything above this line.

I fully accept we're all insane.

As extenuating factors, I can only offer that the majority of us are borderline alcoholics, and that many of us have also met SE in the flesh so can die happy. So at least there's a balance.

RotCG is probably one of the worst buys I've ever made. Got about one quarter into it before I left off. Didn't even bother bringing it with me back to Norway, and that's rather telling as I'm an obsessive hoarder.

Edit: Also, if you're not a cowgirl hairdresser who can breathe fire, I'll be severely dissapointed.
