I was there too, though I had to leave when he started his Q&A session.
The poems were truly captivating when Steve read them himself. He put a lot more meaning into them than what I would get reading them on my own I imagine.
Let's see here now, the CG monologue was hypnotic in a way. He talked about his relation to his worshipers, to his pain and so on. It's hard to describe it really.
As for the Kallor part, it was a flashback to when Kallor visited the last city of the Tiste Liosan. As always Kallor dominates any scene he's in, which I am sure is SE's intention.
There was also a soldier exert, but there was so much noise in the room at the time that I missed the content of it.
Later in the evening we went out to a pub with Steve and his wife Claire. Having missed the Q&A session I asked whether The prophetic abilities of Tavore's mother (referred to by Felisin in HoC) had passed on to Tavore. This has been my pet theory for some time. I felt very clever about noticing it until Steve looked at me and said "no".
Twas a great evening for all involved I think.

Welcome Slynt. Excellent arrival-post and thanx muchly for it. And also i hate you and will be requiring your brainz for scanning and specific recall excision. Don't worry, we put it all back at the end and the scars are hardly visible to your kids until they grow up taller than you. And the drool is charming, really.
I am going to be such a wreck reading that book. I may actually take a vacation day specifically to read it.

I think the saddest thing of all will just be that the series will be over. As much as I'm looking forward to a conclusion, I'm already kinda sad about that.
The series will be over but the story continues.
Two trilogies. Probably 4 more books by Esslemonts. Some KB&B books. Who knows what else.

... You know, I hope the series ends with:
Kallor.
Kallor.
I could live with that. But personally i'm hoping for a cusser triggered earth-shattering ka-boom.

Okay so Kallor shows up. Last we saw him he was litterally on the other side of the world.
So, I guess it is safe to assume his reason for popping up in TCG is Crippled God related. Most likely it is about his "servitude" to the CG, if you could call it that with out Kallor cutting your head off, or it's about the House of Chains. Kallor still wants it, will he have one on one with Skinner perhaps?

Morgoth does point out it's a flashback. No impact on Kallor in D'stan.

When's the next UK tour? A brief google search reveals nothing, but I assume around release time of TCG?

The flashback takes place during a battle, so either it's Kallor himself who's in one, or the narrator.

That is awesome.
I'm def taking a vacation day to read this one. Me and my bro usually take the day off and read them together when big time books come out. I'll probably read it on my own this year so we dont have to sit there and pretend like the other one isnt balling the whole time and ruin the experience.
Again....awesome.
