lets put it this way: if Quick Ben and Kalam don't reunite, my fury will blot out the sun

thats not the sun, thats the white-hot blaze of my rage
Friend, know this for certain. Whatever Anomander Rake now attempts to do, he does not do it for himself.

just rereading DG and at the part where Kalam has just revealed to Crokus that he's going after the Empress and Fiddler explains that Quick Ben can appear at Kalam's side no matter where no matter how far apart and it got me thinking on the end of DoD and wild speculation time...

We all guessing whether QB is alive or dead... one thing that we know is that he has done before the whole pretend he's been killed trick and reappear elsewhere, the whole stealing Tays demon for the GoTM rampage. The first time i read the DoD end with what happened to QB i wondered whether he was pulling another fast one, with the whole raising of his arms, would be SWEET if he did the whole sneaky shuffle, activated his warren and returned back to Kalam's side to bring the one man wrecking machine back into the story!

QB could only appear near Kalam when he had the acorn (I think it was an acorn). He can't just do it at will.

I wouldn't mind if QB died to be honest, just bring Tays back.

Well I'd rather see both high mages coming around for the big finaly. And maybe a few others

I am quite sure QB will be back, and I hope Tayschrenn too. there is too much unsolved about their pasts, their abilities and plans. It could be solved with them offscreen (meaning after their deaths), but it would not be as rewarding to read I suppose.

about Kalam, I am sure he will be back in some form, otherwise ST would not have been so eager to get him into the deadhouse alive. And Cotillion said he was alive. I don't think he had any reason to lie to QB in this matter. Maybe there is some connection to Gothos as well, since the two can have some long conversations now.

Maybe we should see it as an ..... asset of shadowthrone, to have a master assassin in reserve.....

Thought the same thing about Vorcan and Rallick Nom...until TtH.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
