PS Publsihing just released this announcement.

The Return of Esslemont

Return of the Crimson Guard by Ian Cameron EsslemontRemember the debacle of the PS edition of Ian Cameron Esslemont's Return of the Crimson Guard ? The one where we managed to miss picking up umpteen mis-spellings? I still have nightmares about that: it seemed for a while like the only word we spelled correctly was PS!

Anyway, to his eternal credit, Cam has buried the hatchet (and not in the back of our proofreader's head... where, alongside the one I put there, it would have made for a nice pair of bookends!) and agreed to PS once again producing the limited edition of his new epic, Stonewielder, which we'll be doing as a strictly limited slipcased two-book set of just 300 signed copies priced at £99.

I don't need to tell you this but I will: you can bet your sweet bippy we'll be doing our damnedest to make sure there are no screw-ups this time. Finished copies are expected in October. We're expecting a fairly frisky response, so this (much like the Brighton Shock collection) is a project you really do need to move quickly on.

Don't say I didn't warn you! Click here and pre-order now to secure yourself a copy.

Still not decided whether I'll go for this, £99 is a bit steep, but for those collection perfectionists out there...

Click here to order, and here to discuss the new synopsis

Wow, 158 dollars? I thought it would be some cool thing like the first 1000 people to order it. Damn who decided 99 pounds or 150 $ thats ridicoulus.

Apparently when they aren't riven with edit mistakes the slip-covered ltds are very, very pretty.

Thats too much. I would gladly pay for limited edition od DG, MT...anything - of course in style of GotM limited edition. Even RotCG because of few epic moments and it´s importance. But Im not sure that I want to pay such money for book, that Im not sure it will be great.

I look forward to reading this. It will take forever to get to the US though.

Seeing how I just got RotCG in April.

Yes apt your right. I'll buy this when I make billions with the stock market. I got it all figured out, put all the money on something that will go up, hen take all that money, and buy low sell high. Easy, and then we can all be rich!

Waiting for US publishers to put these out is ridiculous; I imported RotCG for around $20 and it was totally worth not waiting till April.

Ordered mine and got an email saying it will be processed on 10/7. I assume that's when they're going to ship it.

I doubt it - the book is listed as late 2010 on their site.
I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and it says in the email :-

Wouldn't October be considered "late 2010"?

It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Whoops, I listed the date the American way. 10/7 = October 7 for us Americans.

July 10th was 3 days ago, regardless.

Can we form a collective to arrange for the importation of fine books from UK to the US? Cut out those guys at Yahoo or wherever. We could get extra copies for eBay exploitation, er I mean distribution to our US pals?
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.
