From what I've understood about playing via stream, the speed of light is a barrier that means input lag is unavoidable. This isn't a problem in a turn based game but in fast twitch games, especially multiplayer it's a problem.
Unless somebody invents some kind of software that predicts your action, streaming is going to have issues. Unless you live right next door to a server farm maybe.

I don't need to hear your real-life techno-babble.
I need to hear Simon Templeman yelling "Vae Victus", and see a vampire cut enemies to ribbons, lol.

Also, someone discovered that the first thing the Epic Games launcher does when you start it is scan your Steam directory, get your user ID, friends list and games played history, and stores it in an encrypted file.
As soon as I get home, that piece of garbage is off my hard drive. Free games were nice in theory (you can still add them to your account remotely, online), but I'm not giving epic any more data to undermine Steam (probably by taking my wishlisted games and making them exclusive to the Epic launcher).

Well, I got my refund for Phoenix Point already, so that process is working well at least.

Anyone remember that game "Wild" that Michel Ancel was supposed to be making? The one where you are a shaman and transform into various totem animals?
This gives me similar vibe:

Ok all, Skyrim tips time. I played it once before, many years ago, and I think I was dual work with single handed swords and fire destruction magic. IIRC I was an imperial and joined their campaign. Just wondering how best to have another enjoyable time with it. I am rubbish at archery in games as a general rule but might be willing to give it a go, going more down the sneak/archery/stealth route. I dunno my gaming style tends to favour a bit more of a melee type thing.
Any thoughts?

Well, the game doesn't prioritize specialization so just do what ever you want. Anything you do gives you experience points and works towards one of dozens of skill trees.
Personally I always tend towards brute force. Screw the magic, just invest in hitting things hard and shrugging off damage.

Been awhile, but I sort of remember going with the battlemage attributes. Good with melee fighting, but can lean on the magic in cases where it can save your life. And believe me there are encounters where roaming at a distance and letting the magic fly will pull your bacon from the fire.

GOG is having a new sale. It's called "Bloody Good games", and it's about vampires.
It includes a TBA "Bloody Good Game", that's gonna be announced in about 2 days. That coincides with Paradox making the announcement about their "Tender" ARG that's rumoured to be Bloodlines related.
I am starting to get hyped.
Edit: anyone else watching the Google GDC keynote in about an hour?

This Unity tech demo is very sexy. Reminiscent of the Samaritan demo Epic made years ago.
Can't wait to see what kinds of graphical craziness we get in the next console cycle.

Gonna take a look at Unity's keynote afterwards.

Google can't possibly reveal a new console, right? Or some streaming box. It has to be too early for that technology, surely,?

I'm watching Giant Bomb's live commentary.
Apparently there's a rumor the Avengers game might be revealed here.

That's no box. That's a gigantic 10 teraflops server farm.
Scary impressive , but impractical for any place with a bandwidth cap.

Man, this Stadia tech seems magical. The only problem be is that you cant "see" latency in the footage they're showing. 4k and 60fps sounds great but how does it feel?
It'll be fascinating to hear about hands-on experience.
The fact that games aren't theoretically limited by hardware now is promising.

Google is trying to kill twitch. That's nice for them (I don't care about streams and steam-related crap), but it's really all about games.
Amazon is at least making that New World colony MMO.
Edit: Jade Raymond will be building 1st party studios and the it's rolling out in NA and Europe later this year.
My main reservation remains bandwidth.

Got the Queen Yharnam trophy in Bloodborne before any of the endings, now I'm debating doing NG+ with the lategame weapons or starting a bloodtinge build
Game status: still good
In fact let's make this a info dump to drag people back in
Here's the list of glitched chalic dungeons you can get to after killing Bloodstarved Beast (in Old Yharnam, which can be the second boss in the game) and then the second boss of the first chalice dungeon
They're technically depth 5 Isz but glitched to show as depth 1 Pthumerian (so start level, times depth by 25 to get what level you should be in one) and you can run through the mobs to get the chests and the endgame weapons (seriously you need to kill the final/semi final story boss to get the Burial Blade normally) all on layer 1 so you never have to kill an actual boss - only caveat is that you need PSPlus to search for the dungeon codes so be aware
(e: the lost/uncanny bit means they have a different gem slot set up, like a waning slot instead of a triangle or so - the DLC weapons weren't coded in so they're not available but there are messenger baths in some chalices so you can buy the uncanny/lost versions of the DLC weapons you've picked up already, there's one on Layer 4 of Lower Pthumerian behind a hidden wall (those fuckers put hidden walls in the chalice dungeons but not the main game, how evil)
Also here's an exhaustive guide of how to do all of them to get the Queen Yharnam trophy and possibly farm superhard chalices if you're mad for gems
Incidentally Defiled Watchdog of the Old Lords and Defiled Amygdala can go get fucked

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Why would you go for glitches rather than enjoy the game in the tempo it was designed for?

So you can use the Burial Blade in New Game once you've played with the other available weapons? I included the rest in case someone else wanted to try an early weapon - like getting the Chikage before Logarius - even if I probably wouldn't myself, but hiding such a cool weapon behind the majority of the game is a crime.
Also it might persuade people to give the chalice dungeons another go so they can fight some of the unique bosses there, some of them are really cool and others are utter bullshit YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE YOU GIANT HOT DOG

Unity's keynote has some amazingly pretty things.
Mostly tech talk mumbo-jumbo though.
