Sanderson is a freaking writing machine. Maybe he could finish Fire n Ice for Martin (oh snap!)
Seriously, I can't wait for Way of Kings. Should be awesome.

Interesting. It sounds like I may actually pick up the Wheel of Time again, some day, when the series is done.

It will be interesting to compare Mat from a Gathering Storm with Mat from The Towers of Midnight.
“The others followed, and found themselves in a small, stuffy basement, which would have been damp, smelly, close, and dark, were it not, in fact, well-lit, which prevented it from being dark.”

Do you guys think it would be worth picking up the series again? I stopped at Path of Daggers a few years ago because the story was just going absurdly slow, but I had really enjoyed the first six books and the seventh to a lesser extent. Should I reread and just gut through 8, 9, and 10?
uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.

Wait til it's done. Finished product will be better than individual novels.

I sort of grew up reading the Wheel of Time, so I spent many hours rereading books 1-7 (but especially 1-4). Now, though, I couldn't bring myself to reread the whole thing before The Gathering Storm, and honestly I'm glad I didn't. I would recommend rereading it at least once before the end of the series - whether you wait till the last book comes out or just till the next one, I don't think it will matter much. Personally, I have a thing about spoilers, so I prefer to read a new book in a series as soon as possible when it's published. I like to get my reread out of the way before it's released.
We sail in and out of Time, then back again. There is only one ship, the captain says. All the ships we hail between the galaxies or suns are this ship.
