Lois MacMaster Bujold's Sharing Knife tetralogy is said to be Fantasy Romance. It's the only of her series that I didn't read because the description told me it's too heavy on the romance aspect for my taste.

The whole Dark Fantasy / Paranormal Romance (and several UF writers with female MCs) group has replaced the 'historical' bodice rippers with the Highlanders and pirates. The 'Highland laird' has become a vampire lord, and the sassy Sassenach girl a kickass vampire hunter, it seems. :o
