I think there is more work waiting for me, and I need to get there, fast.”

I think he's referring to the ninja with that question. So maybe the ninja steps in if the blonde is actually in danger, but she wasn't because of the heal/guard from sledgehammer man.

It was most likely Mockra, though he's not allowed to confirm that explicitly himself, of course. He was probably told he could post again once it became night, and P-S just took some amount of time to actually post the night scenes.

Seriously, no deaths again? I feel like this is the calm before the storm... though at least there was what appears to be an attempted kill.

I can't/won't confirm anything, for these very reasons (game rules). Speculate as you wish. But I will repeat, in case you missed it, that I was forced to remain quiet until the Barghast alt died, and was only allowed to vote yesterday, nothing more.
