The only problem with scene analysis is how do you link players to thier roles

We can't really at this point. Well, except for Korv. Point is though, we can get an idea of the spread of roles, and possibly what kind of roles are on which team (that is purely speculative, however). It should get easier to link players to actions as we get near the endgame.

PS

Omtose is chinese and kaschan is european.

Have fun.

Well here's your chance to contribute. Do tell mores.

Remove vote.

Don't encourage him. Besides, we seem to be getting far more information and usefulness from threatening him than anything else, I say drive him up to 8 votes and see what he squeals (which is nothing as he's already spilled everything he knows, as is evidenced from the scenes).

You're saying don't encourage him, but then say we should find out some more of what he knows? :)

I'm saying don't encourage him to be helpful and communicative, that clearly has failed already. Threatening him with a lynch seems to be working far better and requires no encouragement.

But honestly I don't think he's got any more to say. My post was partially in jest.

Let me clarify - I read them, but I dont pay any attention to them. Tapper said he had tweaked it so there wouldnt be soft finds. I suck at analyzing them and so I read them, enjoy them, but I take more from your words than I do of the scenes. Probably stupid to admit it, but I think its better to play the person.

Well you are missing out on valuable info and as i dont know who is in my team i will give everyone the same advice. You should read the scenes carefully. I have counted at least seventeen different characters in the scenes. From that I can guess the early abilities of around six of those players and then almost the same amount of characters have divulged their nationality in the scenes or with some deduction. The most important thing we need to gain from the scenes though is which characters are members of the syndicate. At present i have only two guesses toward characters who could be syndicate. The unassuming woman working with the criminal element and the man discussing chess. We also know that two Europeans made lover connections last night from the scenes and the people they made the connections with know that those players are definitely spies or their action would not have increased the points gained by the european team.

Not true on the last part. The Euros gain 2 pooints for each new team they contact... Americans, Chinese, Japanese, Russians, and Syndicate, so a Syndicate contact could have happened.

I'm catching up, I noticed we're around L-4 or less on Korvalain with a sudden posting burst from him.

I know he said he couldn't post much but seriously he's tripled his post count and suddenly found a few minutes to respond to things now that he's in trouble.

Damn the votes are really piling up on him now :) Hope he's not on my team :S
Doesnt really look like anyone else is going to go now though, and his sudden defense does set my scumdar off a bit so if its the same in about 20 minutes il probably add my vote

I dont mean the players who were contacted, but the player making the contact. The European players who initiated the lover link are definitely spies or else the points would not have counted toward their score.

Are you sure on that?, i dont see anywhere that states it, and PS has said that all the Syndicate members have a nationality

@D'riss, that makes a bit more sense.

Regarding the whole bouncer business... I think the Russian pair in question is a good candidate to return to this game, but I don't think the scene being referenced is indicative of that.

"I didn't know they employed western bouncers here," he said, looking at the man standing opposite the wardrobe, where a girl in a miniskirt with a tiny apron, high heels and not much else was busy hanging four-figure-cost coats away. He removed his sun glasses from his hair, then put them in again, at the same time curling a little lock just above his ear.
"Neither did I," the other guy said, "I just came here to read a book."
"What's it about?"
"Science. History, to be more precise."
"Fascinating," the other murmured, his eyes resting on the tiny apron.

The hot chick with the apron maybe implies the female pair of that duo (she was a hottie that was hard to target), but there's no obvious link between the man who open the dialog and the woman. It looks like he's staring at her, nothing else. She actually is described as if she were a store clerk (busy hanging away coats), so she may not be a part of the game at all. The two men are probably the important ones.

And the first guy clearly says "western" bouncer. I wouldn't think a Russian would ever be described as a "western" individual. Western implies Europe (Euro) or American.

@Serc, D'riss has to be correct.

Syndicate players may have a nationality, but the only way the EU "faction" is going to get the 2 point VCs is by their spies initiating contacts. Syndicate EU making contacts isn't going to affect that VC in any way.

The old man hissed a few syllables into the phone. "Remember your duty, you little runt! I am the one who tells you where and when to apply pressure, not you, you little bald monkey!"

~~

The car stopped next to the man in the white suit. "He wants you to go here."
The other frowned. "He can ask me. Nicely."
"He could," the driver replied. "But he does not."
The other sniffed, then kicked a street lantern. This was not worth getting into a fight with the bureaucracy for."

~~

The man with the shrapnel wounds cleaned his gun, then stashed it away. Two people to find, two people to chase. The well-dressed fop would be smoking his cigars, but the girl, she would be out somewhere causing misschief with all her little trinkets. He wasn't the best purse cutter, but he had a mind of stealing one of her gadgets, if he could.

"This is Stephanie Cole, CNN news. A young American tourist has just been shot near the Tokyo Stock Exchange, during a violent kidnapping. Witnesses say the young man threw himself in the line of fire. The kidnappers and their hostage, a representative of an electronics firm, are still at large."

PS, are those votes supposed to be in that order? Don't they usually show in the order they were cast?

Something is not right here...

Wow, 3 invisible votes? And apparently someone's vote didn't count, or Korv required an extra vote.

See, this is why we lynch people... that is some big info.

Not too surprised he was American, he seemed to have a lot of info and the American VCs revolve around information/investigations.

EDIT - eh, x-post. Ability of gifting extra votes via dummy alt?
