I voted for Reaper's Gale primarily based on the whole "sophomoric humor/bathroom/body-function over-descriptiveness" that really peaked during that book - it started in Bonehunters to a degree, and thankfully vanished for TTH.

I just thought that sort of thing really, really dragged down the tone of the entire novel. It would be just fine in any other gritty-style fantasy, but in the MBotF, for all its realism ... the crudeness just irritated me.
I finally have an avatar ... and it's better than yours.

Reaper's Gale was the worst for me. Found it a real mission to read, nothing really in there to keep me going except my faith in the author which at this point in series was starting to wane. The story itself just wasn't good enough and it could have been about half as long. More than anything, the ending was poor. It felt like a stepping stone rather than a novel in its own right.

Thankfully TTH was much better, but it took me about a year to decide to read it after having finished RG.

I'm hugeyl surprised return of the crimson gaurd hasnt copped a load of votes. Gads I actually didn't like it.
Even with my least favourite Erikson novel I still like it.

Agree with Illy on NoK being a novel as well, and I like dit, it suited Cam's writing style so much more than RotCG did

I'm pretty sure NoK WAS, formally, branded as a novel....

....no idea why so many people voted for HOC....WITNESS Karsa's wraith.
Split my brain into two parts: LEFT and RIGHT. Unfortunately, in my RIGHT, there's nothing left. And, in my LEFT, there's nothing right.

I voted for RotCG. I really enjoyed Karsa's introduction in HoC, actually. I was sad when it ended. For that reason HoC is one of my favorites.
We sail in and out of Time, then back again. There is only one ship, the captain says. All the ships we hail between the galaxies or suns are this ship.

Geez, HoC and NoK have taken commanding leads. Disappointing as I rather liked them both.

I know, right! A bunch of Karsa Toblakai hating biggots!

Never mind them. They shall all witness the Teblor Rebellion and repent... before being summarily and messily bisected

House of chains was my vote primarily because it was 300 pages of nothing but karsa... I absolutly love the guy as a character but 300 pages without a break from the guy makes house of chains my least fav book..
Take me as a knife and I will turn in your hand. I swear it.
