Re-read is amazing. I've waited YEARS to get to and finish book 9 so I could re-read the series before 10.
It feels so good.

Gardens of the Moon is so much better than I remember (which I barely remember).
And I must thank Defiance for his cool spoiler re: magic dust. I was WONDERING what that meant and had assumed Sorry was referring to some event in Apsalar's past.

I'd forgotten how awesome Quick Ben and Kalam vs. Rallick and Ocelot vs. ...a few surprises was. Such a great sequence. Really endears you to Kalam and QB. I have been finding Whiskeyjack kind of weird - not quite what I remember him like from MoI, especially when he tells Tattersail something along the lines of "Good at dying." re: her question as to feeling bad over the loss of his soldiers.

It definitely stuck out when someone mentioned Olar Ethil as well. Wicked. I have the final 200 pages or so left. I never liked Raest. Always thought he was lame imitation power in a series of many true powers. It's time for him to show me I was wrong and that he was a cool Tyrant after all.

Cheers to all who re-read!

I am in the process of re-reading GotM. I am about half way through. I have not read the entire series yet, but I am still finding things make much more sense the (for me) third time reading. I have only gotten half way through the second book so far. I've been so busy with college these last two years that by the time I got back to reading the second book I was lost and had to re-read GotM. Third time's a charm!!!! I own up to book five so I am glad I have finally graduated and I can get moving forward with the series. It's such a good read!

Namaste

Books two and three are really where the magic starts to happen for most people. And then it stays awesome.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I finished GotM the other night, about 130 into Deadhouse Gates. Honestly, everything is so... so HOMELY. It's so understandable and as it should be. Everything in its right place. I love it, can't get enough. So many minor foreshadowings. I like Gardens a lot more now than I did. It's really rather awesome.
