The nice people at Canada Post, whom i love and respect and never ever have anything bad to say about, dropped a note in my mailbox that confirms the nice email i received that CHANGES is waiting for me at my local post office.

Start your bets on this going horribly wrong, but i am SO PSYCHED!!!!!

- Abyss, ...also, nauseous.

BUSCH LEAGUE!

I'm not jealous. Nope. Not jealous at all.

Good lord, isn't that two weeks early?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

You lie. Mostly because you always hate on Canada Post... so maybe this is their cheap shot as a form of revenge.

More likely not though. I am so jealous. Though I suppose that rubbing it in our faces would be great since we've been doing it to you
over the preview chapters.

Hmm. That must mean that the book should already be available in my favorite book store.

Right, I'm going in to the city before I go to work today.

This better be right cat!

I'm about a third of a way into mine. So ha.

I didn't even realise it was out - bookdepository says next week and Amazon uk says the week after. So a pleasant surprise on my weekly trip to Waterstones to scope the new releases... Hell, even Waterstones' own website says the eighth of April.

Still, I'm not one to look a gift Wizard in the mouth.

By the way, it's awesome so far.

Would be nice to hear some views of the book later and what people make of the ending

Quite a few things about that book that make for wonderful speculations.

Well, first things first, after finishing I'm still picking pieces of my mind off the walls. Only two words will do to sum this up... Holy. Shit.

Have you read it, Chance? I'll make a separate spoiler topic if so to avoid tempting (and winding up) these nice people.

Okay, for those who are Canadian (Abyss, I am looking at you sir!)...hopefully it's not just my Indigo @ Bay & Bloor in Toronto, but CHANGES is already gracing the shelf, I bought that shit and stole outta there like a thief in the night before they realized it's out before street date!

WoooHooo!!!!

Can anyone guess what I'll be doing with my evening...and probably most of tomorrow?

It seems to me that the publishers have moved the date sneakily, or something, because I (in the UK) got mine yesterday, Abyss's has already been posted and I've seen a couple of other people mention it as well in other places.

Yay!

I hate American book companies. Why does this not happen here? I don't think I've ever walked into a Barnes and Noble or Borders and seen books put out before their release date.

Strangely enough its probably a consequence of the legal system and the scale of things. :p It simply is worth taking legal action against big american book companies while who cares if a few swedes or other "none" americans get the book right.

/Chance...who is darn happy that his bookstore always is weeks early...

Sorry dude.

It looks like it's in more than Canada though, so perhaps your local bookstore? It only ended up on the shelves today...did you check today?

Oh fuck me...it's sitting on the table next to me, I was cleaning my gf's condo cause she comes home tomorrow....and now I feel the pulling urge to read it....in one goddamned sitting and not sleep. I could also watch TV or a movie...

I feel like the book is going to win.
