So I just finished The Bonehunter's and while it is not my favorite book in the series so far, I loved it. It's pacing was the best thus far and I feel like here is where the conflict actually begins. In any event, I'm wondering when the best time to read Night of Knives and Return of the Crimson Guard would be? Should I move on to Reaper's or what?

When should I read NoK?

Night of Knives is meant to be read after Bonehunters, since you've just been introduced to Temper and Agayala, but really you could read it at any point, all though the book spoils the mystery from the first two books, of who or what the "Shadow Gods" are.
You should read Return of the Crimson Guard before Toll of The Hounds. I'm trying to think if there is any reason to not read RCG before you read Reapers Gale other than the fact that it was published after RG.
If you want to know what happens with the Empire after the Bonehunters depart straight away, then you should read RCG now.
If you want to learn where the Bonehunters went and what happened with a bunch of other characters from BH, then go aheard and read RG first.

I thought the consensus is that it's best read right before The Bonehunters. A lot of characters from NoK make cameos at the end of TB, and they're meaningless if you haven't read NoK. Also Kiska shows up very early in TB.

You've got a point, but he already read BH. So no fuss.

There's no conflict between RotCG and RG that I can recall. The only cross-over between them would be Mallick-Mael business and Iron Bars, but there's not really any spoiling going on there either way.
