Oh snap! Fener and D'riss played this so well! Go scum. Still, it was about fuckin time I died, I'd become too much of a distraction. I hate it when you think you're gonna have time to play and then God smacks you and says, NO DO MOAR WORK!

Wow bad guesses on my part. Thought it was Osseric + Spite. Shoulda known, Fener is always scum :veryangry:

Bent's panicking a lot here on the last day. That accusatory style of posting and badgering is not going to win him the game, and it basically means he's almost certainly to be the other prime candidate for a lynch today.

I think I'm most impressed by the fact that DKT hasn't imploded with RAGE!

Also, it should be known that this game is already a scum victory. The Dude has NEVER been lynched. Seriously, never. It would be quite the miracle of they manage to lynch off Bent today and then The Dude tomorrow.

There's a first for everything. I hadn't been lynched for my first 7 games or so, and even had to argue for my own lynch in a Benses game where it was the only sensible option. Fast forward a bit, and well... I'm easy bait nowadays :veryangry:

At some point, it is going to work against him.

Of course, we can't count our chickens before they're hatched... but I'd still bet on The Dude to take this one to the house!

So how's Spycraft 2 coming along, Tapper? I'm really excited about it.

Is this game ever going to end?

It seems like it's been going on forever.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Venge is happy and excited, but he's out for a week or 2 at the least. So am I - both happy and unable to mod :veryangry:. There are a couple of minor tweaks I have to make, mostly on the vulnerabilities and healing front, nothing major. I do have, however, to finish 19 write ups on character appearances and action resolution stories, and a couple of day opening/ ending scenes.

We will also require 22 players... set-up is such that I cannot leave out a faction to accomodate a lower number of players. I'm a bit worried about that part, actually.

Since I'll be taking a week off from work to mod the (first part of the) game and can't do that at a moment's notice, I may claim a spot in the coming weeks in advance.

I'd be happy to play 2 or 3 roles by myself. :veryangry:

You won't once you see them. Spycraft 1 had a few 'easy' or at the least, straightforward roles (dibs's finder role, bubba's comm guy, Gem's saboteur, Bent's killer). Trouble in Tokyo has a few of those, still, but even such roles have interesting side options.

If Spycraft 1 was Rome's mean brother, this is its dope-smoking paranoid twin sister who wears a straight jacket to school. Trust me.

Final notes from Shadow/Silencer

Quote

Just some more notes for you in SH.

Osseric attacks me, votes me.
D'riss agrees with me, votes Osseric.
Spite agrees with Osseric, votes D'riss.
Fener agrees with Osseric, doesn't vote.

Fener voted Osseric. Removed vote after long 'argument'. No-one came on during the 'argument'.

Osseric: Revealed as healer. Claimed healed Fener, reveals second day can heal self. Not NK'd.
Kalse was NK'd. Kalse voted Osseric. Osseric therefore has least to gain from Kalse NK, but also most to gain.
Kalse voted with me, so NK'ing makes sense only as WIFOM.
D'riss now votes with me, but also suggested Kalse's vote on Osseric was foolish the day before, and had him up
there as a likely scum. Obviously when Kalse is NK'd, this makes D'riss look innocent, as he thought Kalse was
scum.

"Consider if he was scum...i think he would have supported shadows case
wether shadow was his scum partner or not...even more so if not."
Problem: If he is Osseric's scum partner, he would not have voted for Osseric except as distancing, too. The issue with line of
reasoning is the assumption that Osseric is innocent, which is information only he has, same as everyone else.

Problems with Osseric: He can be linked to too many people for easy partner identification. I.e. Fener and Spite.
Throw in distancing, and there is really nothing to go on.

Problems with D'riss: He's basically sat back, and stayed out of the light. He can only really be linked to me,
which obviously from my perspective is no link at all unless it's fake sympage/partnership.

Problems with Fener: Everyone has hated on him at some point, pretty much. Distancing, of course, but fuck me it
gets very repetitive to consider that option and basically rules everything out.

Problems with Spite: His close defence of Osseric did seem like he was ignoring ANYTHING against Osseric as a
potential candiate for lynch. Blind support is not a good thing.

Far out this situation is impossible.

My gut is to go with Osseric. A lying healer that was hard to lynch. Sure, Kalse jumped on and voted him, but Kalse is CI. I suppose potentially a symp in which case today isn't, as we think it is, d-day. But two symps one killer seems a weird setup. Plus, Osseric was my original choice for lynching, and he is still alive. I've been hurt bad by letting that go and changing my mind before. Then there is the possibility that the killers are playing that, though why no-one else has voted Osseric....but DAMMIT, there are TWO people who are huge Osseric is VPI, which shouldn't happen in a game with two scum left.
Of course, Spite and Fener could be the scum, and therefore playing into Osseric's hands...which would explain why Fener didn't hop on Spite's vote of D'riss, in part...
And then there is D'riss, who could be playing me...but Spite is voting D'riss. Fener is resistant to this...or at least hesitant. Which could indicate a Fener/D'riss pairing.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Quote

Also, Osseric is dktorode. The swearing and talk of lions and heat gives it away.

Fener is most likely Bent...

D'riss and Spite is harder to differentiate (assuming my first two guesses are correct), and The Dude/Baudin are fairly similar players. What scares me is a dkt/Bent partnership. That's just fucking sick. And makes their circle-jerk earlier today a much more incriminating play, imo.

Fuck it. Voting for Osseric. Not that it will make much difference at this time.

Here goes. All comes down to Spite and luck. Fener's vote was really casual. REALLY casual. Like he didn't need to think about it. Hopefully that will sway Spite around.

I'm surprised the Fener's reason for VPI'ing Osseric didn't do the same for Shadow. I suppose he just couldn't give up his overall suspicion of dk. That Osseric/Fener back and forth would have been a truly masterful scum pairing kabuki play.

However, it was masterful oscar worthy acting by Bent.

Want me to move this to public, Shin? Or can you handle it via PS?

Ok, no problem. Did you send a PM to the alts reminding everyone to clear their PM folders? :band:

(Don't worry about Shadow if you haven't, I've already done it.)

Good game, some interesting reads there. I will say this... knowing someone is scum, and getting people to vote them are 2 different animals, right Baudin? :band: I think Baudin might have known I was scum, but because of his play earlier, or lack of, I was ably to guess that he wouldn't have the weight to encourge people to vote me. So i cozied up to shadow and encouraged the Osseric vote.

I am also a little discouraged by the RI play as of late, I love being RI, you can basically do anything and if you get nk'd/lynched, well, you gave your roled players info and kept them from getting killed. Don't get me wrong, i prefer to be roled, but I never give up on the game if I am RI. It's refreshing sometimes. This game might have been different with some mroe participation.

anyway, good job Shin, fun game and good job posting the convo's :p

I am stoked for Spycraft. Can't wait. I love tapper games.

Also, scary last PM from shadow there... I didn't think anyone had put me and Fener together, given another day or so I think Silencer woulda had it.

Grrrrrr :band: I was amazed at the fact that noone else seemed to be able to see that you were being really dodgy. I was only certain though right at the end after that last series of posts from you because it just screamed scum

Yeah, at that point you didn't fit into the equation of a win... we knew you weren't gonna vote anyone but me...maybe shadow, so we basically said screw it and went another way lol. Good catch though ^^
