[Path-Shaper]

Simple game, choosing to go with a guard and a healer for town (which fits the characters of the Ikeda-ya incident best IMO) and paired killers.

Here is the game specific information which will be posted in the opening of the game thread after the opening scene.

Town – The ronin of Choshu and their sympathizers who wish to overthrow the samurai shogunate (the bakufu) and restore the Emperor as the ruler of Japan. Ronin will CF with the name of the character, and their faction. An Example CF would be “Okubo Toshimichi (Anomandaris) is dead. He was a ronin of Choshu.”

Scum – Agent or agents of the Shinsengumi who support the Shogunate who have infiltrated the ronin.
Scum will CF with name, Alt and “He was a Shinsengumi Infiltrator.”

This is a meat and potatoes game. There are no new or fancy roles. Straightforward set up, per Tapper’s advice.

Reveals – Reveals are allowed, just don’t quote PM’s. No noobs in this game, so this should be self-explanatory.

Days will be 30 hours. Nights will be 10 hours.

Role PMs

Kido Takayoshi – You are Kido Takayoshi (known mostly by your alias, Katsura Kogoro.) Your leadership skills will be needed if the new era of the Emperor is to dawn. Because of your years of training, your sword skills are excellent and your mind is clear. Therefore, you’ve taken it upon yourself to seek out the infiltrator or infiltrators and stop them from ruining your plans. Every night you can visit a safe house and keep watch over the ronin staying there. You are a Guard.

Ikumatsu - You are the beautiful geisha Ikumatsu, trained in the arts of music, dance and conversation with men. You are a friend and confident of Katsura Kogoro, and are sympathetic with the cause of the ronin. Your skills are not limited to art however. You can choose to attend a safe house each evening and use your healing powers on the ronin hiding there. You are a Healer.

Harada Sanosuke (Killer)

These filthy ronin would overthrow the shogunate that has stood for 300 years (and who are also your employers.) You and your fellow agent of the Shinsengumi, Todo Heisuke (D'riss)will not stand for this. You are the killer infiltrators of the Choshu ronin. You may talk to each other off thread (please include PS in your conversation) and can choose one ronin to meet their fate each night.

Tōdō Heisuke (Killer)

These filthy ronin would overthrow the shogunate that has stood for 300 years (and who are also your employers.) You and your fellow agent of the Shinsengumi, Harada Sanosuke (Fener) will not stand for this. You are the killer infiltrators of the Choshu ronin. You may talk to each other off thread (please include PS in your conversation) and can choose one ronin to meet their fate each night.

They have to lynch The Dude. And he's never been lynched. Not to mention, Bent is excellent when scum.

dk and obdi should be excellent in the inno power roles though too, so it's not impossible. Innos gotta play a good game, which means no one can take the RI role PM and give up from the outset and have any hope to win.

Very tough set-up for town, Bent and The Dude as killers is rough
I'm not too certain about Obdi and Dkt being ideal for their role, they're usually vocal and offensive and having to stay quiet will chafe with at least one of them - which is also good for the game .

Yeah. This game isn't really progressing any more that others recently. D'reks game was a success, but even that was a little slow to start.

So far, this is about as verbose as I've seen Silencer in a game of mafia. He's doing a good job.

As Tapper predicted, dk isn't exactly laying low. Obdi is (or has been unavailable) and he's getting a little flak for it.

Aside from Gem, Baudin (Spite) and Grief (Eloth) are the main no shows so far. I didn't set a mod kill time, but I'm thinking 36 hours is fine for this game.
