Very interesting. Tearing away the veil should make for some great insight.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Ah, epic win. Finally an Erikson blog!

But I still reckon he should just have had a blog on his own site. Then again, this probably gets more traffic, so whatever. XD

The goat made me laugh. It'll be great to hear of SE's archaeological misadventures.

Good lord, that has to be ridiculously unpleasant. Interesting stuff. I wonder if the next entry gets all psychedelic on us?

Haha. Blend outed himself as a fanboy. What a nerd

Cool story though. And certainly more exotic than being hit by some van. Urb will stay tuned.
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Yes, because posting on Steven Erikson's blog as "Blend" is not, in itself, outing oneself as a fanboy/girl.

Since he's sitting down at a computer in (presumably) England writing this blog, I'm sure he's relatively fine.

I am just about siding on the 'he didn't die' side, but if he does die it would make the blog a bit more amazing.

Since he would be writing from beyond the grave it would indeed be amazing - he came back from the trip he's writing about a couple of months ago already. Awesome post though, I really want to read the next one.
