Yeah, I thought spite was a right arse before...
Its a good point that we'd know who neo was if we lynched him. Not sure why we weren't told who neo was then.

Because the killers got him? Like I said, it gives them a slight advantage because one group knows who to avoid. That's part of why lynching Neo was a priority, since then we'd know who to look out for.

As I pointed out earlier Gamelon, the agents hit two targets last night. I think I am right in assuming they do not have off thread communications between Smith and the other two agents. That leaves it with both Smith and the agents not knowing who hit right, or who the the other targeted.

Because one of the killers got him then. I understand that (hence 'one group'), I was responding to why Neo's old alt wasnt revealed on thread. I'm pretty sure that both sets of killers will avoid whoever they think is most likely their target from the night before. Plus if smith hits another agent then they will have off thread comms, but obviously we wont know when that happens. So there is still a chance that one set of killers would target Neo, but on a whole scum have more info than we do.

That may be true, but only if they had a very strong Alt guess on who they thought Neo was. Now they need to Alt guess him again for that scenario to work. I guess anyway you look at it we are basically back to square one.

Apart from there being three less suspects and the whole reload taking place

I also wonder who Omtose was. Was he rolelss Inno, one of the crew, or one of the paired agents.
And where are the rest of the players?

It is sad to see the game come to a screeching halt today. Yesterday we had great participation and it made the game very fun to play.
My bed beckons so I will bid you all ado. Hopefully there will be some posts to read when I awake.

Sorry about the confusion with the win conditions - meaning and intent gets blurred sometimes when I write these things. It's what happens when you have an over active brain. Innos win when Neo has been hit in any way - by Smith, other agents, or lynched. I hope that clears it up.
This is a HUGE difference. I don't know about everyone else, but I thought the "special bulletproof" meant he was just BP against the regular agents. So it's much better for us if Smith recruits innos so that there's a better chance of either SCUM team hitting Neo.

This is going to sound lame since I don't have anything concrete to back it up...
...but is anyone else getting bad vibes from Gamelon? That whole conversation he had with Serc just strikes me as off.

Not particularly, but I'll look at it a second time.

Well no I don't really get much of a "scum vibe" from him. Maybe you're biasing a bit because of the way the Gamelon alt was yesterday? I'm trying to avoid letting my view of people yesterday interfere because, of course, it's all mixed up now.

Well I have to head out soon but I'll return in a few hours. Whoever hasn't checked in yet, since the reload, this is no time to stop "playing" (and start coasting)!

Ok here briefly, after a quick reread i didnt really get that many scum vibes from anyone, the most weird thing i noticed was Bargh for some reason arguing that having the reload is a bad thing. The way i see it one of the main objectives of this game for the innos seems to be to get Neo dead twice, so being half way there after night 1 is pretty damn good in my eyes. Having said that im not sure if this is a really stupid scum expressing his frustration on thread or a confused inno, (or possibly a confused scum but il leave out that possibility) so atm i dont think that there is enough to really justify a case on him.
Another thing i noticed which seems to have been barely talked about is why the Emur alt was switched with the Spite alt? Are we just assuming it was some sort of password error on Emur so they had to replace it with Spite or could there actually be an in game reason for it?

so, what just happened? weird.
This level of cluelessness disturbs me. At this point in the game we need everyone to know their shit - understanding the situation in play is critical. We had an excellent Day 1, but we're not going to be able to sustain that momentum with this sort of laziness around.
Vote D'riss
Scum would want to slow the game down, and that's what he's doing.

Gem here - there is no significance to the Spite alt - I switched to it for technical reasons.
Tulas, are you meaning this post:
Barghast, on 03 February 2010 - 06:35 AM, said:
Well, it seems fairly certain that Agent Smith caught a lucky break, and got Neo night 1. And the partnered killers got Ruse (or whoever he was before). Not the greatest of outcomes, but not particularly bad either.
In which he implies that it's lucky for Smith to hit neo so early?
Considering if furthers our win conditions, it's not a lucky break for smith at all, so i'm not quite sure where Barg got that idea.
Like you say, it's not scummy as such, since it's not something scum are likely to do.
Edit: PS quote wasn't working.

I was asking that question earlier. It could have some significance - Emurlahn looked like a possible Neo yesterday, and overnight Neo died, as did the Emurlahn alt. Easy to put two and two together. But at the same time, it could just as easily be a password problem or something more mundane. Worth keeping in mind, but probably not a good idea to draw too many concrete conclusions from - it's definitely not strong enough to go after Spite with pitchforks for being the new alt and all, or anything like that.
