It's pretty much anything goes -> there's historical precedent for all permutations of it. Of course, if you're being dishonourable and betraying your master, there's no reason Sukul would necessarily be honourable in return, rather than just lynching you next after falsely promising

At the same time, as Ji Ling, its in your best interests to ensure you are in the top 3 factions so Ji Ling can return in the next game!

No, it's fine, aiming to win makes perfect sense with alt dead. But you should *try* and get alt's faction into being one of the last 3 factions, so that he can feel proud that Han Xuan's legacy will continue in future games

Yes well, few characters in Three Kingdoms ever worked for three separate lords... and none of those went back to the 2nd one after betraying the 3rd... but whatever, plenty of officers killed their first leader and took his head as a presentation gift to their new one so go all out

The tricky thing for tonight is if there's a leader that isn't Telas or me that manages to recruit. I've already whined about it on thread. I feel helpless that I have no idea who I will be able to recruit. But since I have at least in theory higher army size than everybody except Ruse (allegedly), I should succeed. I thought Omtose missed a trick - he should have voted Meanas. He knew that Meanas wasn't on his team because Meanas was voting for Telas. Then all they'd have to do was convince Ruse that they were the superior option, and they would have had a majority going into tomorrow.

Right, so I slightly screwed up by forgetting Ruse's guard, but then fixed it. GL knows Telas is Zhang Ji, but I forbidded him from revealing it on-thread.

The historical part of Cao Cao, Prime Minister of the Han and lord of the north and east parts of the realm will instead be Yuan Shao.

The historical part of Sun Ce/Sun Quan, conquerors with little allegiance to the throne who conquered the south will instead be Zhang Ji/Zhang Xiu, who maintain indifference to the throne and instead conquer the west.

The historical part of Liu Bei, the lord with no land of his own who rose from a single man to an entire kingdom will instead be Huang Zhong, who lost his own lord but now seeks to restore the legitimacy of the throne by building his own forces and defeating Yuan Shao.

Huang Zhong he will conquer Liu Yao to take the region of Wu, instead of Liu Bei conquering Liu Zhang to take over Yi.
Ma Teng will crusade against Zhang Ji instead of Cao Cao.
Instead of Yuan Shao's sons causing trouble for Cao Cao in the north, the Gongsun family will cause trouble for Yuan Shao, also in the north.
The Nanman rebellion will threaten Huang Zhon's southern Jing regions instead of Liu Bei's southern Riverlands areas.
