When 7 were left, full on chaos erupted at the table. People stood up, their chairs overturned, and shouted accusations at each other. Gamelon, who had drawn up a series of colorful charts to plot out the seating arrangement and help deduce the scum, was the first to lay an accusation.

"Hood's Path, you scummy fucker! The only thing that makes a lick of sense is you being the master of this house!"

Kalse spoke up from somewhere in the throng, "Yeah! Get that fool!"

Hood's Path's eyes darted around in a panic, and he quickly settled on a bystander. "Thyrllan! It--it has to be Thyrllan! Not me!"

Thyrllan growled and replied, "You think you're going to save yourself by pointing to me?!"

Osseric sheepishly added from a back corner of the room, "We have no choice! Kill him!"

The mob descends upon Hood's Path, and his screams are drowned out by their chants of, "His head!" and "Stomp him dead!"

Serc smiles to himself. "Excellent! I think we know exactly who the villains are and I've got this handy Mayor to assist us today! He turns around and looks at Gamelon and says, "Kill Mockra."

Gamelon looks back at Serc, her eyes vacant. Serc realizes that Gamelon has been run through violently with a butcher knife. She seems utterly shocked at the turn of events. Serc's jaw goes slack.

"B--but that means..." he slowly turns around to look at Mockra.

Mockra had been standing by quietly to himself, his arms crossed on his chest. He smirks, then chuckles, and then laughs... a full-throated act of amusement at the events before him.

"Boys..." he says softly. "I think we have one loose end left to tie up."

Osseric and Kalse stand up over the fallen form of Thyrllan. "Yes, Master..." they intone.

Serc looks around quickly, and realizes... they are blocking the doorway.

No one hears him scream.

Mockra (Bent) has won the game as the Master of the House! Kalse (The Dude) and Osseric (Shinrei) have won the game as the apprentices! The town gets shellacked in brutal fashion by non-participation and Bent's wiley ways. For his efforts, Bent is awarded the Man of the Match!

Yeah I know Mockra was ridiculously obviously scum but trouble is no one else was thinking so and I had a really busy few days and didn't have the time to dedicate to convincing people about it. Ahh well, the non participation was tough made it really hard

It was close at the end, I had a kill in on Osseric and changed it to Thyr last minute. I thought worst case, Kalse and I could push a lynch on him, as he was an unknown. I had Kalse pegged as a symp on day 3 or 4, whenever he said the top poster was never scum. I thought Bargy was my symp for the longest time. Then thought it was Game. never pegged Oss though. Good game everyone.

i must say i enjoyed my first Mafia. i honestly never had Osseric or Kalse as the assistants the were acting so innocent lol

I had Mockra, and then I thought it was Gamelon and Kalse over the weekend with their lynching of Barghast. I never picked up Osseric, and only recently cleared Gamelon as well when I remembered Consort is automatic use for assistants.

In fact if I had a Heal I was going to use it on Osseric since I thought he would be the target for the kill

Woo! good game all. That Alkend Modkill really hurt you, havent been to SH but me and Osseric Killed Silchas. But that really gave mockra a free pass when he should have been dead in the water. 2 guards and 0 and 1 kill respectively. I thought we were doomed, but no one really mentioned it to much lol

Town didn't use their roles effectively enough most of the time. Lots of non-actions, modkills, and the like. It didn't help that the two apprentices were The Dude and Shinrei, who are probably the two hardest people to lynch in the existence of Malazan Mafia.

Its very hard to lynch the low posters and this game especially so since it was quieter than normal. I think the role constantly changing was a factor in that. Day 1 was sorta a wait around till you see what card you got and try and figure out what was the roles etc, and we didn't really put any time into posting.

I reckon we need a couple low TMDI games to get back to interaction and cases which seems to have fallen by the wayside a little lately. There was only one case all game that I can recall on Thyrllan.

I did but apparently people never listen to me, and then i convinced myself one of the apprentices was dead so he couldnt be the master :S
