Guys,
Thinking of getting myself an iPhone. Does anyone out there know if there is a decent ebook app for it?
Now that you can get MBotF on ebook format from Waterstones, I think that would be a cool liitle app to have on your phone!!!

Oh my potential for another Mac user! Yippee! There are a few apps that allow you to read ebooks on the iPhone the best one is probably Stanza. It allows you to read books in most formats, including Amazon Kindle, Mobipocket, LIT, PalmDoc, Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format, HTML, and PDF. Plus Stanza allows you to read eBooks in both landscape and portrait modes. Each page of the book is displayed separately, so you don't need to scroll down the page. You can flick through pages by using your finger or tapping on the left or right side of the screen to turn to previous or next page. The search icon lets you search for specific keywords. The bookmark icon allows you to go directly to a particular chapter. They also have several free books that can be dowloaded directly to you iphone If you do get and iphone and have any questions just let me know I'll be happy to give you a hand.
Edit to add: Just though I should let you know Stanza was acquired by amazon last year, so any titles that are available for kindle will also be available through them for your iphone.

The idea of reading text of such a small light emitting screen sounds absolutely terrible.
That and it's a mac product. For shame.

I think. I am not sure, but I think it doesn't support ePub or at least DRM-infected ePub. So, you cannot read ebooks from Waterstones.

I just recently bought an iPod Touch. I never thought anything in the computer world could surpass my near-boundless hatred for M$. Apple proved me wrong. Be wary, Hock.
There are multiple apps available. It seems Stanza is the most popular. I myself have been trying to get Aji Reader to work. There's no problem with the app itself, I just need to transfer my books over USB.
I'm going to go get the details on Aji. I'll be right back.
Edit: Alright. Aji is known well for being able to handle large books. It can display as a landscape or portrait. If you get Aji Annote, you can make notes and such while reading. Aji Reader Service is supposed to allow you to transfer to and from your computer, but I have no idea how to work it. There's a user guide that should say. I don't know if any formats aside from PDF are supported. I can't find that.
Gl on getting the right app.
