The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Although I love the picture, isn't she like 9 or 10 during that scene? Do I have her age confused?

(I assume its the conflagaration in tBH.)

She's around 16 or so, I believe.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Really? I always thought she was the same age as Grub.

Nah, she's older, she just behaves in a fashion that makes her appear younger.

I was also under the impression that she was younger, but that aside, it's a good picture. If a tiny bit too much like SJP :nono:

I don't see any equine in there, Brood.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

very spiffing indeed urb! although i'm sure the dress was for dramatic sorceress effect, such garb is not malazan military regulation. :nono:

also, when i saw this in the "new topics" box, i thought we were in for another lively religion discussion

Great picture.

And I think it was said somewhere in tBH that she's a teenager. I can't recall if Erikson stated her exact age, but for some reason I'm thinking fifteen or sixteen.

Good job! Would be improved by her hair being on fire though :nono:

I was not aware that squad mages were subject to such regulations.

Jennifer Love Hewitt actually. But they do possess certain similar facial characteristics.

Backgrounds are usually what makes me give up when I use this style, but this one was simple enough for me to actually finish :D

Great pic Urb... the eyes are kinda scary!

Aside: In HoC when she's more coherent, Kalam still notes Sinn as being very young. That being said she has plenty of long conversations and hatches her own complicated plan to kill the pickets, weaken the siege towers and slip away into the fortress so I'd put her around the 14 or so mark in HoC. She just seems even younger because she loses her mind a lot more later on.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

The painting is beautiful! It looks way too much like JLH for me to really imagine it as Sinn, but the painting itself is really beautiful.

Nice picture, I like it :)
"Ignoring him, she stepped back out of the ellipse and began singing in the Woman's Language, which was, of course, unintelligible to Iskaral's ears. Just as the Man's Language-which Mongora called gibberish-was beyond her ability to understand. The reason for that, Iskaral Pust knew, was that the Man's Language was gibberish, designed specifically to confound women."

While I like the picture for some reason, especially after Y'Ghatan, I always pictured Sinn as very Jamacan in appreance...just me.
