I've only been to about half my Christmas stuff so far, so this list will probably grow but so far I've received:

The Steel Remains - Richard Morgan (the swanky new Trade PB version with the metallic inked shiny sword on the cover!)

The Rats & The Ruling Sea - Robert V.S. Redick (looking forward to this one bigtime!)

Her Fearful Symmetry - Audrey Niffenegger (who wrote The Time Travelers Wife)

Anyone else?

Alan Campbells Scar Night and Iron Angel. Very good so far.
Though relatives who were coming down got snowed in, so i'll probably recieve several more over the coming few days...

Not bad this year. Got Captains Fury and First Lords Fury by Butcher, The Gathering Storm, Black and Deckers updated home wiring handbook and the Sports Fans Bathroom Reader.

I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

i got $75 bucks for the local bookstore, plus the biography of john lennon. definitely buying gathering storm now that i have some free money, probably one of the black company omnibuses too

Nabbed myself Fool's Errand by Robin Hobb, Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz, Five Greatest Warriors by Matthew Reilly. Then today, I pre-ordered the first Black Company book and bought The Darkness That Comes Before by R Scott Bakker and China Mieville's Perdido Street Station.

I feel like I just ate a massive feast.

I nabbed Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susannah Clarke. A pretty good book so far, although it's dragging just a little where I'm at now.

Got a $50 book card to Borders as well, so I'm going to see if I can pick up Cryptonomicon by Stephenson, The Judging Eye by Bakker and Gridlinked by Asher.

My brother got me 3 books: RJ's "Gathering Storm", Christopher Moore's "Fool" and George Carlin's autobiography "Last words" and my best friend got me a hilarious book called "I lick my cheese...and other real notes from the roommate frontlines."
I haven't gotten together with my dad yet and since he usually gives $$ I may get myself a few more books soon but so far, that's my haul!

Did quite well this year, scored the Bauchelain and Broach anthology, Humphrey Carter's biography of Tolkien, The Alan Clark Diaries ( I've wanted to read this for years and am thoroughly enjoying the machinations and acerbic wit of one of Thatcher's most loyal praetorians), Pigs Might Fly : The Inside Story of Pink Floyd by Mark Blake and Weaveworld by Clive Barker. I read Weaveworld many years ago after getting it from the library and loved it, time will tell if it's as good as I remember.

Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

I got "The Blade Itself" and "Before They Are Hanged" by Joe Abercrombie, and "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. Quite satisfied, I've been considering reading the First Law trilogy for a while now.

I got Dracula the Undead, by Dacre Stoker, which is a sequel to the original Dracula by Bram Stoker. I didn't even know this book existed!

Things and stuffs...and other important objects.

I got Anathem by Neal Stephenson, which is blowing my mind right now- if you are a Stephenson fan this is a must get

and Hood by Lawhead-which was allright, its been a while since I read any of his work

Hood is good, and while it is sad that Lawhead got really sick recently, I'm glad that he's not dead, and has begun work on a new series. The only complaint I have is that the narrative switches from the first book which was 3rd person told about Bran, and the second book Scarlet is 1st person mostly from POV of Will Scarlet.

I also got Feast Of Souls by C.S. Friedman, and I am looking forward to it. Pat seems to really like the series, and I appreciate his endorsement.
