Of all the random things thrown into these books, I think this one takes the cake. But really, this brings up so many pointless questions, like "How the heck can they still be alive?" and "How and why does Emancipor have this stuff?" and "What kind of thing(s) is this that Bauchelain could mistake it for whale sperm?".
So anyone who's going to have the chance to ask SE a question sometime, that right there is a good one...
