IMMUHO. not freezing the day was .......................yea, I will go with stupid.
go with whatever you like but don't apply it to me.
Why was it stupid? Just because they didn't get a lynch in? By that reason you could just abandon timelimits.
I said thursday that I would extend the day for more than 20 hours. To bridge the yank's holiday. That means everyone had 20+ hours to drop a post / PM / whatever on thread or here on spoiler to tell me that my new deadline is rubbish. No one did so. The only one who advocated a total freeze was Ruse and HE had a lot of contribution on this day, so there was no need to freeze the time because of him.
I didn't make this decision easily. Whatever you might think, Obdi never really appointed me the official co-mod or left any notes or whatever. This game is complicated enough and I know as much about it as anyone reading spoiler heaven. Even less cause I haven't read the series - only book one so far. But I'm often around when Obdi isn't because I have easy access from work. So I help out with votecounts, resolving day and night if I think I can handle it. But I feel hardly authorized to make gamebraeking decisions like timefreezes. I was convinced that due to holiday an extension would be reasonable on thursday. However, I had a long internal debate and asked around for advice. The only one who decided to really advice me on this was dibs, and he would have ended the day on thursday. That was no easy decision, I debated for hours upon what to do, and I think I made a reasonable decision.
I went with an extension rather a total freeze since it is a lighter variation of the rules rather than the bigger one.
No one complained about it, so how was it stupid to stand by my decision announced on thread?
Have you read the day? there was lots of contribution, and all they came up were cases based on day 1 banter. On day fucking SIX. OMG THEY DIDNT MANAGE TO GET A LYNCH WITH SUCH A CASE OMG OMG OMG STUPID IDIOT MOD. Really. They had a chance. Ruse left without voting. They more or less decided to not lynch on that day. and it was reasonable.
Timelines are there for a reason. No one complained. I didn't cut off some super duper case. In fact, I played by the rules I announced. They could have talked ages without a good case.
I'm not stupid.
And it seems as if I have to resolve a complicated night without having a notion about how Nicodemus looks like. So it will probably a stupid scene, but the game goes on.
