writing this at 6 am cuz sleep ain't comin. this movie is turning all kinds of things i thought i knew on their head and frankly i'm terrified right now.
more compelling than anything hollywood ever made, the video and audio recorded by dr abigail tyler is ... disturbing. very disturbing. if ever there was doubts about extraterrestrial life abducting people, in my mind, they are completely gone.
probably not gonna try to sleep any more tonight, don't really know if i want to.

Dude, you are Captain Gullible.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

not the first time i've heard that. doesn't change the fact that i'm FREAKED THE FNCK OUT!
i dno. you watch the movie illy? cuz you shouldn't judge me unless you have
edit: after various internet searches attempting to get my imagination under control, i still can't find an explanation of the archival data that the movie presents as real.
the internuts consensus seems to be fakefakefake but if were gonna doubt hollywood we can certainly doubt the internet.
either way this was a crazy good movie for mind-blowing

Apart from seconding Illy ... Milla Jovovich is the lead actress and you think there's some kind of truth to be found in there?

Tooth Fairy v. Dentist...................

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Seriously though.
If Hollywood does base a script on a true story, by the time it's all said and done, the story is always so warped it bears absolutely no resemblance to the original, true story. They only use it as a marketing scheme, because people like to think they're being educated by a movie. (Of course, there are exceptions to the rule.)
