Our beloved artists,

I need as many images that relate specifically to gardens of the Moon as I can get so here's the deal - You can submit as many images as you want so long as they have something to do with Gardens of the Moon, even if it's something that appears in the Glossary but is never mentioned otherwise such as cards in the Deck of Dragons - in fact, I would encourage you to include cards from the Deck. I want to give you plenty of time so let's say the end of November for a closing date - should leave plenty of time for shipping out the prizes before Christmas :unworthy:

1st Prize: A signed hardcover copy of Revolvo by Steven Erikson (PS Publishing) and a 'Keeper' t-shirt.

2nd Prize: A signed hardcover copy of Revolvo by Steven Erikson (PS Publishing)

3rd Prize: a 'Keeper' t-shirt.

I may be able to up the ante in terms of prizes at some point before it's done so stay tuned. Also, please post your entries in this thread.

Thanks in advance and I look very much forward to seeing your entries

Could you make it end/mid December? My last exam is around the beginning of December, and I have no time to do any serious painting before that. Alternatively I could try to set aside some time during a weekend to make something less elaborate. Just to participate :unworthy:

considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

Anything for you Urb...might as well make it the end of the year then :unworthy: Any objections?

edit: also, and this applies to anyone, I would appreciate some 'less elaborate' images as well, say of things like the Unaligned cards Orb, Sceptre, Chain and so on - could also be an opportunity to experiment with different card borders, titles, etc.

Hmmm... I might have to put something together for this.

Question: How will the winners be determined? Forum poll? Some other method?
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

I'm in!

Can I do Characters and Creatures, or do you want like scenes and such?

Do I have to start the painting now, or can I continue on an old wip?

Characters would be cool to start with or if you feel you would like to tackle a card from the Deck of Dragons and include things like card borders. There's also sorcery - Rake's spell rolling down to kill the soldiers, or Tayschrenn killing the other mages. So yeah- anything you like really, we don't really want to limit your creativity too much. :p

Any restrictions on materials used? I'm more of a pencil pusher. I'm not comfortable painting people or creatures yet. (I'm nervous!)

That's actually a great picture! Awesome work as always.
Although one could say that in GotM there was no white hound :)

@Bauchelain the Evil
Thanks, hate to disagree with you but...

From the Wiki...
"The Hound that approached Quick Ben was wide and heavy, its fur pasty white. As it trotted up to the wizard, he saw that its eyes were also white. The creature possessed no pupils.
Quick Ben bowed. 'You are the Hound called Blind.' he said, 'mate to Baran and mother to Gear."GotM, US HC, p.279

Great picture Nobbs, captured the scene well, love the hounds' eyes and the swirling smoke from the sword ... but where's Paran? :)

Grimhilde, as I said once before, your art work keeps getting better and better. You've still got
the same distinctive style that you had when you first started posting your art, but it has
evolved nicely. I think you're a great artist. The Knight of Dark card, Burn and Queen of Dreams paintings are stunning. I feel your efforts deserved more rep than they got.
