More, if someone else had the role Tennes claimed, that of supervising the tech stuff, why not counterreveal? saves us all a shitload of trouble. Everyone tells him to shut up, but we've seen no counterclaims.

If I had a role in this game I would have just kept my mouth shut. Plus who in there right mind would do a counter reveal when no scum have been found so far other then symp Amp. :) That would just make the counter revealer a target.

Sigh. I wish it wouldn't come to this cause there are only losers once the mods step in.

Barring mod intervention I am going to be adamant in my belief that Kalse was allowed to say he was Kirk, whereas you say he can't. That makes it a clear rules question, and I'm going to stick on what the OP says, namely, that he could - that is out in the open and for all to see, whereas your call isn't.

@ Thyr: it depends on how much damage the scum can still do before the end of the game. With what, 8 alive if there is a NK and no clear scum lynched, I'd say we're approaching end-game, and end-game is a time where you want the cards on the table rather than close to the chest.

If Tennes is scum, he won't get NKed and unless we lose the game after the NK because we have 4 scum against us, it will not make a difference who they kill. instead, if there's a counterclaim now or tomorrow, we lynch Tennes tomorrow, and get scum for sure and scum can't win that night, again. Sure, we lose the mechanic, but we've traded him for a scum and can still win.

There is only one person who the Tribbles fell on. Kirk. I used that to verify what Kalse had told me in his message. There have been subtle clues in a couple of the scenes. Even though they say that there aren't. That one is easy to get. Notice that I didn't announce that I had been Kalses lover till after I was able to verify that he was actually kirk. While I know that none of this will really matter to much and those of you who are hell bent on lynching me will do so anyway regardless of what I say. I know what I know, my only mistake was in not revealing everything that I knew as soon as I knew it.

Now do you have any other question for me. I am only on for a short time. I think that I might go and drink some Guinness and Highland Park. :)

Catching up again and I have to agree with you here... mods always say that there are no clues in scenes because they know that's an excuse to put clues in scenes. Mods love their games so much they like to do cheeky things like this and titter to themselves.

Excellent catch, I had forgotten about that part in that episode. It was pretty funny.

well, I don't put clues in scenes... but I'm not wrinig any scenes this time, b.c I know nothing of Star trek.

the phrasing in the OP' however, would suggest (to me) that it was meant as a fake-reveal mechanic.
I will ask GK to clarify once he gets on, and ends night.

We haven't seen any Kirk Counter claims either. What I am struggling with is that this game was played a few months ago. I know things were switched up, but there are people with intimate knowledge of prior roles in the previous game. Karosis being one of them ( not sure if Tennes played last game) I think that would give a distinct advantage to prior players wanting to fake reveal. It seems we've exchanged one he said/she said for another. Not saying that Tennes reveal is fake or KArosis' back up of him.. but knowing Karosis.... you never want to rule anything out.

Korv, I also have to agree with you. It's very hard to try and use two potentially differing sets of rules to evaluate what a player may or may not have been allowed to do. It's almost like you have to hold Atrahal to a standard of proof.

Atrahal,

Kirk made contact with you?
Did you get to talk to him directly or were messages just relayed between you two (one or two way)?
Did he tell you anything else useful other than "save me?"

well fuck my old aunt sideways. I googled tribbles and kirk and got taken straight to wiki.

Fucking hell, VPIed by a story that doesn't include clues while there is also a rules tangle :). I just don't know what to believe anymore. If the scene does not contain clues to the state of play but just a random nod to the series, you're still lying scum that lies but got offered a way out just because you know what the fuck a tribble is.

If it did contain clues both to ST and to the game, then you're suddenly VPI - could still be you recognized the scene while you're scum, but it's a good trump. I don't know what to believe and frankly, I don't know if I give a shit anymore, most certainly not at this point in time.

I'm going to bed, but before that, a well-meant: enjoy your beer.

but that would be equally ridiculous. You'd be allowed to say anything apart from what is truely in yuor PM and everyone would know you're fake revealing once you name a name.

Yeah he made contact with me. He was dead by the time that I was able to get on so no messages were passed back and forth. I just had the one message from him. I am still not really sure why he decided to choose me to make a bond with as I haven't been on regularly.

He didn't give me to much other information. He said that we were in a bad way. I don't know if that meant that we had lost someone else who was vital or not. He didn't say anything else.

aye, but that is night 2 and now's night 4 and end-game. plus, if Kirk still has a vig like he supposedly had last time around, he could affect play majorly on his own.

The lights had been off the entire night, people were on edge, as people started passing palmlights to each other it was obvious that someone was missing.

KOrvalain was found with a second smile.

He is dead and was a member of the crew.

Yeah I have to run to class myself. I doubt that I will be back on tonight.

Cross post with the scene.

Oh the irony of Korv's last post.

I shouldn't laugh when it's probably D-Day but that was pretty hilarious timing on Korv going to bed and then getting killed.

Korvalain? That's a little surprising. The breasts must've been too enticing.

So the lights are out then?

It is now day.

The no reveal was about revealing greater extents of your role pm as a way of proving who you were. Some games I allow it as it just makes you a fucking target, but in other games it just breaks them.

Multiple mods have been asked about what that means, it looks like I wasn't clear so I'm sorry to all players about that. But if there was confusion I wish you would send pms to me so I could have cleared it up, some of you did, but got ment and Bent. And they have done very well to cover for me and I thank them for that. The blame is mine for I should have been more clear about the rules. And it has lead to some confusion.
