The Carphone Warehouse looks like my best best. There's a vendor only 20 minutes away from my place in East Croydon. I'll get a cheap little pay-as-you-go phone and that way we can all communicate. Expect many hung up calls and heavy breathing.

I even had a friend loan me a phone she bought in France. We'll see if I can just buy a new SIM card for it once I land.


I don't have a cell phone and I've sent exactly two texts in my entire life. Both while I was so drunk that I wrote each text like T H I S A N D I T T O O K M E A L O N G T I M E . Who are you going to see first, you can actually get free sims from some companies I think O2 do them for their customers so someone might be able to get you one, I've no idea whether you can just buy them in the shops though. You'll also need to work out what network the phone is made for as not all cards work with all phones.
