Hi all, just joined the site tonight and am glad to finally get to discuss these phenomenal books with others. I'm currently on toll the hounds - I feel like the last 7 books have all gone by in a blur I've devoured them so fast. I have to admit I didn't realize that the 10th was the final novel. Was sort of hoping for erikson to write until he coudn't any longer. We can't have it all.
Tldr: love the books, on tth, wish they weren't over with tcg.

Hi all.

Really pleased to have found this site, despite everyone in chat just talking about coffee and tea. Lol.

Love the series, currently on house of chains.

Think will make eriksons new book coming out soon my first kindle purchase!

Well everyone - I've been popping in a lot, decided to go ahead and register. I've been through the books 3 times so far.. I happen to own all of them (all that have been released to date) at least in kindle form. I've been enjoying them for years and years now. I live in Florida, and have been pushing friends of mine to start on the Malazan books. I hope to be getting all the books in Hardback form soon - as soon as I can actually afford it...

I'm a writer and aspiring Author, and in all honesty, the Malazan books totally kill my line of thought, because they're so damned good... But even so I can't stop reading or listening to them.

Glad to be among company that appreciates this intense and amazing world as much (or more?) than I do!

Welcome Acorn and fellow new people!

We're mostly a nice group of enthusiastic readers and are happy to chat about any and all aspects of the books. The forum is set out by book title so be mindful that if you are in the area for Midnight Tides you can't discuss later books. I strongly recommend avoiding book areas that are dealing with the book you are currently reading or are yet to read as they will be full of spoilers.
Besides the book areas with have areas dedicated to other authors, movies, music, games etc. Plus there is the Phoenix Inn, where all matter of madness resides.

If you have any questions don't be shy to ask. Someone is bound to help you out and/or steer you in the right direction

Again, welcome!

~ Loki

Sure, Acorn, you just "happen" to own all of them. I think I see what's going on here. You're not fooling anyone.

Hi, im new!

I finished the crippled god a few months ago, but I am still slightly confused... and I love it. Have to read the series again soon, and this forum seems perfect for speculating all manner of occurences in the books =) See you around

Hello everyone, my first post here. A few months ago I finished the Crippled God, and decided to go for the second read since after 10 years details of the beginning were fading. I am now just starting to reread House of Chains and I must say that I missed out on quite a few details the first time around. I am a fantasy fan, and started my reading adventure with books like the Dragonlance series, Wheel of Time, Sword of Truth, etc, until Erikson, who has left me with two unfinished series because I couldn't go back to Jordan or He who shall not be mentioned, (my brother and I were beginning to suspect that he truly believed he was the main character in his own books) after the Gardens of the Moon. the MBotF is by far my favorite series.

Cheers :)

Heya people!

I found this site a few days ago and boy am I glad I did. I just finished readingSE's Book of the Fallen epic adventure as well as ICE's books and I feel.....sad. Sad that there are no more books in the series to read right this second. Sad that I can't stay up till the wee hours of the morning reading untill my eyes dried up or I slipped into unconsciousness mid-page. Sad that I can no longer "hang-out" with all the amazing characters that ICE and SE created. What I am happy about is that I found kindred spirits here on this site who love the books as much as I do.

Ohai.
I'm Familiar.
I've read the entire Malazan Books of the Fallen, Esslemont's books, and also just finished Forge.
Thought I should probably introduce myself... I've read a wide variety of fantasy and science-fiction, and Erikson is one of the few writers of "High Fantasy" if you could really call the Malazan works that who always blows me away with his talent and imagination.
