Oh, somehow missed this thread.

Well hello there, 31 year old Jerseyman living in Denmark currently on my first reread of the series. Nearly finished HoC - I'm amazed by how much I missed the first time!

I've read the ICE novels too, but haven't got to the KB&B novellas yet.

Hello all.

I have been here for awhile now, just never really looked in at the phoenix... I am on my third read of the wonderful Malaz books! I am planning on doing some work on the wiki. Anyway, I should be on here often seeing that everyone here is a huge fan of my fav series.

Cheers!

Hello new folks, welcome to the Scary Mob and enjoy your stay.

Beware of the crazies... Admittedly, the term "the crazies" probably includes most of us... So I should probably say: Welcome to the madness...

@ Ribald - colour me impressed; I would probably read Vector and/or Foundation if it weren't for the fact that, if I did, I'd probably get even less done than I do now...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Bertrand Russell

If everyone is crazy, wouldn't the normal one be the wacko?

In case any of you new people are wondering, I'm that normal person. Now, give/promise me your first born and be on your way.

Hello all.
I discovered Gardens of the Moon as a cast off read someone had left in work back in 2002
I've been hooked ever since.
Not since David Gemmel got me hooked back in 1984 with Legend have I been gripped by a series of books.

Welcome to the forum! If you've got any questions or crazy theories to add, you're in the right place. (And lets face it, after GotM, who hasn't got questions...?)
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Welcome Dak! Good name but I hope you don't own a crossbow....

Now the obvious question is who was the idiot who cast off their copy of GotM?

First of all, hello to everybody!… (And sorry for my late entry, but I overlooked thist hread. I really didn't want to be impolite.)

I am 30 years old, living in Austria and have been a huge fan of SE from the beginning when GoTM was first published in German (Well, since RG I'm reading them in English because the german versions are so far behind schedule by now.).

I've been silently reading this forum for years now, always too shy to register, and I hope you will not mind If I won't post all too regular. Anyway, I want so say that this forum is great for all SE-fans, and the way to discuss various theories to the books is sometimes simply awesome.

There is something amazingly welcome-to-my-bacon-sandwich about it...

I am long overdue on the intro thread, so short and sweet, I'm 24, british, love the books and apparently from my last thread have far too much quoting time on my hands! Been on the forum for a while back and forth, if Apt had or has an army I'd join it :p

Welcome new members!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
