WHAT!!!

I had no idea they were even making a new one...

Looking at the trailer it looks pretty much like number 1 again really. Which I am fine with, because the first one was Full of Win.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully this will make up to the epic fail that Inglorious Bastards and Harry Potter & Half Blood Prince was.

I like how you somehow find it fair to compare boondock saints with harry potter. Apples and Handgrenades there Hume.

Well it looks like it'll be a good film, very much like the original.
Just wish they had used the whole Good Man's death thing to frame the Saints and have the story roll around the bad side of vigilantism.

Probably best to put it into context apt.

The last two movies I saw were a disappointment. HP and IB.
I've already said my gripes about IB in the other thread. HP I thought was just 2 hours of a poorly scripted teenage kids opera about 'who likes who' 'she doesn't like me' etc etc... And then 10 minutes at the end of actual stuff happening, to only find out at the very end that NONE of what they did mattered.
I'm expecting Boondock Saints not to be a disappointment.

I think the director knows he'll probably be shot by trenchcoat wearing glocktoating irishmen if the film fails.

The fact that they're trying to make a sequel of this movie scares me. I have no idea how they're gonna pull this off.

No Willam Defoe is going to be aproblem. He was the thing that pushed the lasat film from being decent to great.

Was it just me or did it look like the new girl detective was just copycatting Dafoe's role. I was hoping for something more original.

willem dafoe in drag was either genius or insanity, but either way that fat guy was cracked to wanna get with him.
There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my lord for thee
In nomine patri, et fili spiritu sancte....

I love the original, it will be hard to live up to.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I can't wait! Actually, I've been waiting too long for this one to come out. Ever since first I heard the tiniest rumour of its existence.

Yes, it was pretty good. Not as good as the first, but still.

Bit of a twist setup the ending for another one in 10 years or so.
