Malazan Empire: Direction - Malazan Empire

Is it just me, or has the whole gray vibe of the series seems to be fading... I mean about the good guys/bad guys being such a gray area. Sine MoI, i find that definitive lines have been drawn. The CG and all who his allies are bad,(kallor, edur, bidithal, gethol...) while the malazanes and their allies are the good( everyone is basically opposed to the CG since he is trying to kill burn). What are your thoughts on that? Personally i liked the whole gray stuff. kind of a change for once, but now i feel its gone.
