Quote

PONTEFRACT, England, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- A British man has complained to candy maker Haribo about a candy wrapper he described as sexually charged. Simon Simpkins of Pontefract, England, said the Haribo Maoam wrapper depicts a "male" lime character engaged in a "sexy clinch" with a cartoon lemon, The Sun reported Tuesday.

Simpkins said in his complaint to the company that the lime bears a "lurid and distasteful" facial expression, the British tabloid reports.

The candy maker said the image was not intended to be interpreted as sexual.

"At no point was it intended to create sexual images," a representative said.

Hah, that's the first thing I thought of when I looked at it. Dunno why he has to complain though. Fruits need love too, you know?

Just imagine if the lime was paired up with a cherry...

I think lemon is more appropriate. But then, I read too much fanfic...

It's true though, HC. Bananas, cucumbers and zucchinis have got it made, but what about the poor lemons, limes and cherries? It's a sad world we live in when lemons and limes can't fraternise.

Oh, but they do. You'd be surprised how often.

Oh, I know they do. They can't keep their hands off each other when I get a lemon, lime and bitters. We shouldn't persecute though. All love is special.

Tangelos are the product of some very kinky swinging.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

It's a shame those poor, impotent seedless watermelons can't join the fun...I hear their seedy counterparts (see what I did there?) are quite popular with the pineapples. Big and beautiful...

Indeed.

Similarily those poor old Jaffas have lost their zest for lovin'
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

I see what he means....I sure as hell wouldn't eat it.

Does this mean I can crossbreed my lemon and orange trees, thereby creating a race of mutant super-citruses?

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Well, you'd end up with sour oranges, or slightly sweeter lemons. Hardly super. :)
