I've just been told that Steven Erikson will be attending the British Fantasycon which is being held in Nottingham on the 18/19/20 September. (thanks Dag!)

If you look at the attending members list there are more than one or two quite well-known names on it;

Jasper Fforde will be there too! I'm thinking I may need to book a ticket to Nottingham for that, AWESOME. :The Force:

EDIT: Can't see anything about SE going, this isnt some sort of horrible trick to get my hopes up then cruelly dash them, is it?

You know, sometimes I really hate the fact Australia is a literary backwater...

Ignorant Pom. Just because we don't drink tea by the gallon doesn't mean we have no culture.

I think you'll find it does, young convict. Tea is the hallmark of a refined society.

REALLY? Oooh, might have to trip across the Tasman to visit that...if SE is going! XD

Why can't he come to NZ? There are even like two semi-active members of the forum who live down here, you know! (And one's an admin!) :p

And we drink tea...

The problem with towers is that they're easily toppled, Hinter.

If SE goes I'll definitely head to Melbourne. Might be a little problematic if I'm in Canberra at the time, but sacrifices must be made in the name of nerddom :p

Difficult? DIFFICULT? NZ to Melbourne is FAR HARDER than Canberra to Melbourne! XD

Yeah, that's true. I'll be at uni though, so it might be tough to get away. I have a 4 day weekend though, so I guess instead of staying in Canberra and getting sloshed as I would be wont to do...ROAD TRIP! :p

I would like to point out that I, too, will be at uni at that stage. See? I'm worse off than you! (though I do wonder what makes people have arguments over who is worse off...O.o)

Lol I never denied you were worse off. You're a Kiwi, such a fact is self-evident. :p Still, that's dedication Silencer.
