Well, I finally found proof that Dassem is Dessembrae. Back to GotM, when Kruppe is in Mammot's study reading up on the chaining of the Crippled God and trying to ascertain if there are indeed five black dragons in Moon's Spawn, the passage states the Dessembrae, then Hood's warrior was present at the chaining, and that it was at this time that he actually broke free of Hood's House.

Now I'm pretty sure that Dassem's death came from his conflict with Hood, and I thought it was around the time of the beggining of the book, which was about 7 years before Pale's fall. However, I thought the Chaining occured about over 1200 years prior.

And another point: the book also says that Tattersail was over 200 years old!

This is really starting to wierd me out.
