Okay I am not going to make a big deal about this trade between you guys, but Brood is getting a raw deal here. He's trading away one of the best QB's in fantasy football at the moment and a decent DST to get a WR who is coming off of injury and has only played one game. Yeah he's getting Orton, but he's giving up his starting QB to do it, and that doesnt' make sense. I know walter was one of Daser's earlier picks, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Walter was definitely considered a sleeper pick this year, and yes he has had one good game, but that doesn't qulaify him as being worth a great QB and a good DST. You don't want to be giving up a quality QB to be stuck with someone like Orton, he is back up quality at best imo.
I know Brood was looking for a WR, but that is a bit much to be giving up. However it is your trade so I will leave you to it.

A few points.
From the deals that we offered each other it was clear to me that J. Cutler is Broods starting QB. My first offer was for Cutler and both Broods counter offers was Flacco.
No experience in trades: All our first attempts was 3 for 3 deals, so here in the end i decided i would offer 2 for 1(Orton/Walter for Flacco) then i got scared that it might now work, because Brood would have to many players, so i included a defense and since Brood hasnt owned 49rs def more than a day i thought he wouldnt be very attached to them.(besides i would have to pick up a def this or next week anyway)
Also worth considering that Brood had 2 good QBs, 4 good RBs, 2 good TEs and 2 ok DEF and yet he is still 1-2. So Brood has stud team but no WR and he needs to win soon. Yes i like the trade but hope Brood also think he made a deal, that will make his team stronger. Best trades are always where both are happy afterwards.
What would have happend if Brood didnt have room on roster for the players gained in the trade? would the trade be cancelled or what?

Well I was just pointing out that Brood is trading away a QB who is doing better than the one he is currently starting as well as a DST who is performing better than the one he is currently starting. Yes he needed a WR, but the one he`s getting definitely isn`t stellar and I don`t see how that is going to help him win. He`d have a better chance of winning if he started Flacco. He`s trading away some great players to you and getting very little in return and I think you know that. Anyways if you guys are both happy then I will leave it alone.

tb, thanks for your concern, but as Daser pointed out, Cutler is my starting QB, which is why I offered him Flacco instead. And since I had dropped Jabar Gaffney to pick up the SF defence just a day or two ago, I effectively got Orton and Walter for a reserve QB and a WR I was never gonna play in a million years, so I reckon it made both our teams better, which is ideal in any trade

Me and Brood are both happy.
TB i think we look different on trades.
1. First i am thinking about who are starters and who are backups and will they become starters or backup after the trade.
2. Player value.
I think you are more focused on the players value.
In your trade with Slum, you gave a backup for a starter and Slum a starter for a backup. Win - Lose
In this trade i giving 2 starters and gaining 1 starter and a non issue defense since i could just pick up Buffalo`s from waiver. Brood is gaining 1 starter and still has a backup QB. Win - Win.
I am also curious about your dislike for K. Walter. He had better stats last year than any WR on your team.
Btw this trade makes me unable to make a full lineup until i get another WR or TE.

Good trade for both parties IMHO, especially for Brood - Walter will get him extra points every game, whereas he loses none in return.
Anyone wanna trade me for Berrian?

As I said Daser, if you two are happy then it's all good. I'm not going to turn this into a huge deal, if both parties involved are okay with the trade then I am happy for you guys. I have my own team to worry about.
As for K Walter, I wasn't comparing him to any WR on my team or the points of my WR's. I simply stated he is a sleeper pick, which he is, and he's coming off of injury, which is also true. He's had one good game, that doesn't mean he is a stud. That is all I was saying, I am not comparing my team to yours.

Haha Brood you might as well have just a 1 for 1 trade Flacco for Walter, and then i could have laughed less. Throwing Orton in there made me laugh harder! thanks!

Well anything coming from you is priceless as well considering you said Walter was better than all of my WR's. So are you saying Walter is better than Holmes? I definitely don't remember Walter tearing it up in the Superbowl last year! Oh that's right he wasn't there! You can't just go by this year's points alone. And may I also point out that KM has Brady as a starter so it's not like he needed the best back up in the league. You were the one starting Orton and boasting about his greatness, saying he was better than Palmer a week ago, so dont' point fingers now!
Edit: I can't believe that was my 1000th post lol!

Hmm it might have been a better choice to make fun of me for having brady as my starter rather than cassel as my back up as how crapy brady has been playing, but who am i to say! keep em comin please!

TT you might wanna pick up a QB of the FA list, as i do believe leftwhich is no longer the starter, and hes hurt.

I dont think Leftwich is hurt, he is benched to get a more mobile QB on the field since the Oline cant stop anything.
Anyway he isnt starting.

I wouldn't say there's much of a difference between Holmes and Walter - not in terms of this game, anyway.
Statistically, Walter outperformed Holmes on all fronts last season (more receptions, yards, TDs, fewer fumbles), and as post-season points don't count, it isn't too far a leap to make the claim Walter could be better in fantasy terms. It's certainly close. Considering he's got Johnson opposite him to draw defenders, and if Schaub can stay fit, there's no reason Walter couldn't have a spectacular season. 900yds and 8TDs he got last time out, to repeat that would be a superb addition to Brood's team.
Hell, I'd swap Berrian for him in a flash.
