Hi. It is rather popular to draw K'ell Hunters but nevertheless I also tried. I don't know why, but when I read about them I imagine them with some human features. Like here I tried to mix his lizard ones with a humanoid torso. Plus a bone helmet :-).

Nice, it's good to see how other people translate the descriptions.

Everyone sees them slightly differently; you could probably have made those blades bigger and heavier, either way he looks mean.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I'm with you, I've always imagined them as more upright than some of the efforts I've seen, which are basically raptors with swords. Yours is pretty close.

Prob the closest to my opinion of them so far (particularly with regard to the blades) is the one on the home page ("demonic apparition").

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

The degree of lizard-ness versus human-ness is not really all that well defined in the books. Personally I think they're more lizardy, but there is also plenty of mention of them having helmets and other removable or custom armor, which does inherently make them seem more human-like. Great artwork either way!

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

i think the major selling point on people going for the raptor look is the constant references to their horizontal spines and huge tails balancing their torso's at the hip.

its a great pic, but not my vision of a k'ell. looks like a naga to me.

Not how I see them, but nice. My only suggestion would be to enlarge the arms and swords, and it looks like the his left sword is curved the wrong way in relation to how the arm is positioned. Better than I could ever do.
