Thanks for the excerpt, pat!
I always hate to be a downer, but just looking at the excerpt and scrolling down it, you can see that she needs to break it up some. It's all more of the same blocky paragraphs with not enough happening that made me dislike the Assassins trilogy and not want to read any more of her work.
Anyway, I sure hope her fans like it. Different strokes for different folks.
