I happened to have a quick look at Telas' case on me while I was here - don't really see a whole lot of substance in it. I really don't see how anyone can claim that a Cult Leader would recruit Fener the night after he was one vote away from being lynched and not get laughed out of town, but his case seems to be founded on that assumption.

Another slow and tedious day passes. You're pretty sure the army of Hell would have overrun your area now if not for the protective clouding of the god Cospinal.

The arguments rehash themselves in much the same way they did yesterday.

D'riss plainly argues his case but is unable to allay the growing suspicion that he may be a cultist, a cult leader, a powerful figure, or just a dangerous person to have alive. He is thrown out of the cloud cover to the mercy of the hellish army.

His screams are likely to haunt you for years.

So....was Fener actually originally a tribesman? If the tribe hadn't actually existed, I would be more inclined to believe that Fener was the original recruiter. Now however, we have to WCS that Fener was recruited out of his Heshette tribe. Since Gam stuck his head out for Fener (and a lowly recruit wouldn't be worth saving if you're the leader IMO), we have to assume the recruiter is still out there.

Damn.

Heshette Tribesman, huh? Well I guess that makes it more likely that Fener was recruited - his story might well have initially been valid.

Looks to me as though you've decided to pounce on the last thing to come up the night before. You get Telas on it too, you've got two votes already and you might get something going out of desperation. You suddenly decided not to chase cult anymore? Seems to me given the CF on D'riss we should still be scouring for a recruiter. Especially since we lynched D'riss for claiming that we didn't need to look for cult anymore.

Or do you think I'm the recruiter for some reason? And if you do, care to give me something besides 'gut' to go on so I can actually have a go at responding to you?

This is some erratic shit right here. I can't lay a vote down in return, because you'd call it OMGUS and label me cultscum. But it looks mighty suspicious to me.

Look, either Fener was recruited or he was the leader (and the leader was an inherited role). Since everyone seems to think the leader is still out there, then everybody also has to think that Fener was recruited. He was either recruited the first night or the second night and I think both options are equally silly, as I think the day-2 lynch train was easily predictable based on PBs last posts. If anything, a recruitment night 2 makes more sense than recruitment night 1.

Either way, you can't claim there's a cult leader still around and scoff at the idea of a night-2 Fener recruitment. And just because you are scoffing at it now doesn't mean you weren't the one who did it if it was indeed done.

And given all that, the rest of the case (jumping on the tail end of the other two trains when there was plenty of time left) makes you look cultish in and of itself.

And even if the cult is not longer a threat, or you're not in it, I still think you are some kind of leader. I really can't think of a reason not to vote you, so I'll bite on Liosan's supposed bait.

that's our second non-cult CF off a lynch (Sil being the first), and when we looked at who Sil suspected, well we found fener, and off him, Gamelon.

now, I'm not saying my reasoning's super sound, or anything, but we will find no links in the d'riss train, and you know it. and the reason for looking at D'riss has proven itself unsound.
as such, i'm left with gut. and i'm gonna go with it, because, hell, my first look at fener was also gut.

Well, I had D'riss pegged as a likely recruiter and got it wrong.

I'm not going to pile on Meanas (or vote for anyone else for that matter) until I've had a chance to do a bit of re-reading, which is something I don't have time for at the moment. There's plenty of time left though, so I'll get around to it soon enough.

Seriously, what the hell is with these nights.

I'm sorry to see that D'riss wasn't cult - though if we are basing that fact on the cult's CF changing, we could be wrong (pass-on leader thing, recruited stay as whatever they were), but then we'd have no freaking chance of every stopping the cult-hunt.
On the other hand, Heshette must be taking a bit of a pounding by now - if Fener was recruited (thus contradicting the idea that the CF doesn't change, but whatever), they're two down. Cohl's Shades - if together, which I doubt - would also be down a few, plus whatever Gamelon used to be (he also claimed Heshette, but that could be opportunistic attempt at saving his partner/former leader/etc, so I tend to take that with a grain of salt).

Bleh. I'm seriously lost now. The two votes for Meanas came in quick succession, making me think Telas is trying to symp Lio, and thus push a lynch onto Lio, or perhaps he's just following to avoid being called out as the instigator and to up his participation rating.

That leaves me, Ruse, Tennes, HP, Rashan, Meanas and Korv.
Rashan has been stopping in and out for a day or so, which means not much participation. Haven't seen Tennes all weekend, if I'm not mistaken, where the hell has HP gone, just feels like a notable absence, and yeah.

if we believe him, then Heshette started out as a rather big faction...
