The lack of NKs definitely stretches out the game. If there had been one a night, we'd be down to what, 6 players now? And in the endgame people have to plead their cases a bit harder. As for the reasons why there aren't any, I have no idea. Seems unlikely that it's just tons of guards and healers though, because you'd expect them to have got it wrong a few times by now...probably some kind of odd mechanic in play. My understanding of the books leads me to believe that Carnival was a killer, so we're likely to be one down after Korlat's death, but you'd still expect some deaths at night by this point. Probably some kind of weird mechanic in play regarding the kills, not going to try to guess what it is because the possibilities are pretty much limitless.
