Its awesome armour, I especially dig the head. I'll try a second draft with something similar but with more chainmail instead of platemail.

Anyone remember mention of somekind of surcoat? I think I read it in his description. don't know how that works into his armour though.

good idea adding more chain, cuz thats the only way his armor is ever described. i believe he wears a crimson surcoat with the white dragon of the guard on it, or maybe its black

No worries man. I think sinidar is right, simple gaurded helm and very heavy chain on a thick set body.
