I don't have the time or the willpower to play MMOs, but damn, Bioware and Star Wars were just made to be together. Anyone planning on getting into this when it comes out?

Yeah, looks awesome. Shame that it's just a cinematic trailer, yes? The Force Unleashed looked as awesome as that in it's pre-vis stuff, so unless they put a LOT of effort into it, it's not going to be like that.

Mind you, if it was, then I may just become addicted to it - and like you guys, that'd be the first MMO obsession of mine.

I've never gotten into MMORPGs either, but I think this will be pretty awesome. I would've preferred a KOTOR 3, but if the gameplay is anything like that, it should be awesome. Although we might get another Force Unleashed...

The possibilities are endless. They can add planets and continents and what ever at random over time. There could be X-wing dogfights, Giant mech battles, huge droid armies, oh baby...

There have been at least a handful of Star Wars MMOs already. SW Galaxies is the one that immediately comes to mind. Of course the biggest problem for SW MMOs has always been that an inproportionate amount of people want to be jedi, and if they limit it somehow the people who can't be one right away get pissed and it doesn't sell as well.

I think it's only set on one planet...the thing Yellow has only has it set on one planet the JEdi Order was supposedly founded on - Tython i think it was.

However, I hope Bioware do it justice and expand it. Hopefully they don't break their record of awesomeness.

I'm fairly sure there is at least Korriban as well - for the Sith characters. I'm not certain, but 3 planets to start was the figure I remember.

Wuut? Guessing this MMORPG wont be a kiddie version, there's going to be loads of Sith players. Sure, all the 12 year olds are going to want to be a jedi but come on, which of us here have never dreamed of joining the dark side? I want to force choke the shit out of some pantsy good guys.

It'll be like Warcraft all over again. Some servers have heavy Horde numbers, some have heavy Alliance numbers.

Technically, Sith are Jedi. They are just Dark Jedi. Also, wouldn't be surprised if Mandalorians were playable as a sort of mercenary faction that could side on either side depending upon the player.

If this is the "actual" first Sith Wars, then it's Exar Kun, Ulic Qel-Droma, and a player to be named later that leads it. However, odds are this is either set immediately prior to KOTOR I or after KOTOR II.

Damn straight! My Star Wars Fu used to be sickeningly strong. In fact, it was SW novels that got me into really reading in the first place. I have, since then, obviously graduated into more difficult material.

I don't think it will be the First Sith Wars. Although playing as Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma would be cool, choosing whether to fall to the Dark Side or not, enslaving the galaxy or leading it to victory. Would be an epic game.
