Figures start running everywhere, left, right, center, and the yelling wakes up the entire village, villagers coming out of their hovels, waving pitchforks and stabbing wildly, getting in one another's way. The raid is finished soon, and its success remains to be seen, but when dawn breaks, somewhere, a man grieves for his love.
Tellan (Malaese) is dead. He was of the town.

Not surprised but looks like we still have a healer alive, thankfully.
Side note, "a man grieves for his love" seems like... Tellan was Buttercup and not Ampelas?

So, you're on my back because I've been middle of the roading, you say? I've made a case or two, but I can see why you might think that. It is not in my nature to be contraversial - I tend to avoid confrontation in most situations, and Mafia is no different. But I have tried to be active when I can, to show that I'm trying to work out who is scummy and who isn't. I don't think I've tried to influence the game in the direction of my choosing (find some quotes if you wish to prove me wrong on that), which I tend to see as a fairly scummy move...umm, how else can I clear my name? I don't know, but I have to say your instincts are way, way off if you're going to come out and say that you are fairly certain I'm scum, because you're completely wrong on that front.
EDIT: That was @Korv. And now I'm off for real. Back later.

Oh, I see...well that's okay then...coz I don't trust you either, it is mafia after all.
(But a case might be nice.)

Korv, you might need to do a better case than that, but I agree that Kesso definitely is letting off a vibe.

im basing my whole point on serc being the symp. surely you havent forgot that serc made a case on kesso, one of those who hopped on and off the driss train after the "code". but when he was done, he was like "well, Kess must be a power role hoping for a heal. revealing "allegedly" to his masters. But that power role never got hit. Shit, no way does a killer not kill a possible power role. this was before the clusterfuck mind you. hang on, ill get the case and subsequent ci of kess.

Okay so Kesso jumps off the train and doesn't get back on after the code is discovered. Instead, we get these gems:
Well, hold on.
You want to lynch Shadow, I want to lynch Shadow, Emur's vote is already there. Three is a decent size to begin with...
You, sir are being awfully pushy
If I didn't have you pegged as Telas' symp already, my vote would be gong on you in a second.
Oh yeah, Telas, that guy to whom the only link with me there is is that we both started rhyming for a while at the beginning. God we're so evil. And yes, I am being pushy. If it looks like we'll deffo not lynch D'riss, then I want to lynch my suspect dammit.
it doesn't take much to get the your sympy message across. Once you're done, you can go stirring up random lynches everywhere, as long as your master's safe.
Argument with Meanas. As described before, if Meanas was NKd it may have been to put suspicion on Kesso....
Random meta comment?
Ignoring the decoding.
Still ignoring the decoding.

I was first to put mine down. Frankly, at this point I want to lynch Korv or Shadow, since they went attack dog on the loose when I brought up the mere notion of looking elsewhere. I figured the easiest way to do that was gamble on the CF turning up Inno and push the case on them tomorrow since they scared everyone else away.

So Kesso basically sees the decoding but doesn't get back on the train. Why would he do this? I have a few guesses.
#2 seems the most likely. Figured D'riss was just trying to stay alive and thought the reaction of posting a crap code was likely for an inno (figuring a scum would fake reveal maybe?).
#3 is an intriguing possibility, because it means a finder could investigate him and he'd come back inno, but I'm not sold because that means Kesso has to take a full day of major suspicion and survive a lynch and then the finder has to reveal to make the case.
Most likely, Kesso is being set up, but I wouldn't VPI him yet because he could be setting himself up, too.
edit Xpost: Sil, I'm saying that Kesso deliberately ignored the decoding. It was already done and votes were being put back onto D'riss during half of the quoted posts. My reasoning is here in this post.
- Kesso is scum killer and thought D'riss was a scum symp?
- Kesso was inno and thought D'riss was inno?
- Kesso is a scum symp thought D'riss was a scum symp?

However, in response to my own above post, why would he (Kesso) not speak up and say, "Hey guys, I think D'riss is inno, only an inno would come up with a code like this and not fake reveal an important role." That's the big question I have on him.
So what you're saying is either he's a killer or he's a symp (and you're implying there are two symps and D'riss was one).
I think you're forgetting that by the time D'riss actually got lynched, nobody really cared about him any more. He'd been fucking around and messing with our heads. Probably an inno move with hindsight, but I for one wasn't even contemplating that aspect at the time.
No, I'm not saying that at all.
I'm saying that (in the previous post) that I believe that Kesso is innocent because that is the most likely scenario given that he was almost certainly bound to gain suspicion by jumping OFF the train and then NOT getting back ON it.
The quoted post here is that, while Kesso seems to have been innocent, why not either try to save D'riss OR just back on the train quietly. Doing either would make him seem more likely to be inno.
Instead, by not doing either, he appears more likely to be hiding something than he appears to be scum.
After thinking it over, my guess is he's a town power role and wants someone to find him tonight to prove innocence.
check that last post..it was early after driss was lynched. still he ci's someone.

So he recommends me and you jump like that? Strange play indeed. No case, nothing.
Well, annoyingly I have to go off line for a while - RL stuff - but I will be back, and then perhaps you can tell me why? Please don't do anything stupid like a speed lynch whilst I am not here.
Edit: I meant to say I would like the chance to defend myself after all.

I make the effort to come back and everyone else disappears...charming. Well, I will be around for about 10 - 15 mins, then sleep for me. I will be back on line tomorrow, but probably not for 12 + hours (but well within time out) so please if you want to put something I can actually defend against I would appreciate it. Thank you.

huh
so, now, I'm the killer, because Serc said I was roled and I didn't die?
lol
incidentally, Korv, you still asking Gavin for that modkill?
because, if not, i'll have to admit that Amp was right and you were playing us.

Did anyone else find it really weird that people yesterday were going "stop doing this [looking at the clusterfuck/focusing on one person] if you are inno" - I mean...what. The. Fuck?
That is really strange play, if you ask me. No-one says that. It's just a ridiculous thing to say. I'd provide names, but I'm still fucking busy. If you all want, when I get back I'll request modkill. Though I'm still around to toss votes, so I may be useful, not sure.

Just ignore the person in the corner.
To Mockra yes we are ignoring the clusterfuck. There are very good reasons. I appreciate you trying to post content and ask a relevant question but that has been covered. Jump ahead a little to the Tellan/Amp reveal fest then catch up with the rest of the thread. There is enough information there with out having to go into the clusterfuck.
