I grabbed a random sketch the other day to try a different painting style and because this has got a sky, a landscape and moving figures in it, it suited the purpose. But I think it's not that bad, so I'm posting this.

I'm pretty sure people have different images of Redmask from that one. I didn't work much on the sketch, as well as I didn't mess around with the K'Chain Che'Malles's anatomy, because they're in the background anyway. Hope you guys like it anyway :p

By the way.. How is it, that the KCCM are always described having dark greyish green scales, while Redmask's mask , which is supposed to be of KCCM skin, is red? Do matrons have red skin? I remember it mentioned the mask is supposed to be made from the skin of a matron.

Awesome, very awesome indeed.

Couple of observations. That horse looks awfully small compared to redmask, but then again, maybe it's just a small breed.

What is up with his mask? My impression of the mask was that it just covered the nose and mouth, for some reason I don't remember now... is there a description of how much that mask covers?

Thanks guys :(

Apt:
Let's say it's an Awl breed :D

It's a full mask, there's a mention of eye slits in the mask..

[...] the glint of crimson scales where the face should have been, and eyes hidden in black-rimmed slits.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Very nice. If I recall, the mask was supposedly made from the throat skin of a Matron, hence the special color.

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
