Finally found 3 1/2 hours to watch The Irishman last night. It was a logistical challenge so we prepped for it all day. I tend to pass out before 10pm these days and the kid goes to bed at 7ish at which point we usually start cooking dinner. Had an early night the night before, went out for a very long walk, kids afternoon movie so I got a nap in on the sofa, got him asleep for 6.45, Dominoes, just about got to the end of the film without nodding off. Can't remember whether it was good a movie, just very pleased with myself for getting it done.

Also absolutely loved the first National Treasure, haven't seen the second though. I can't imagine it being the sort of thing that gets better as it goes along though...

2 is less laser focused than the 1st, but it's still lots of fun.

IT's one of those things that if you are into the adventure and history, you'll enjoy. It's not as good as 1, but it's still a blast.

I really enjoyed the two films...

Hopefully the plot picks up from the tease at the end of the second film!!!

Considering how poor sequels usually are, Id say National Treasure 2 is pretty high in the list of decent sequels.

Watched 1917 last night.

Heavy and emotional, absolutely brilliant but with no desire to see it again. I have a feeling it's going to win a lot of Oscars!

I have a lost of movies like this. Fantastic films where the subject matter is simply too heavy to choose to revisit.

ANGELA'S ASHES, SCHINDLER'S LIST, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, THE ROAD, BEASTS OF NO NATION, DANCER IN THE DARK, BOYHOOD....I'm sure there are more.

I've not seen 1917 yet, but I kind of thought it might be something I would only watch once.

Re-watching Neil Marrshall's CENTURION, and it still OWNS. It's not the best "What happened to the Ninth Legion" story, but it's close.

Have just finished Willow. I will be all in if a sequel series is made. I fucking loved this movie when it was new and watched it like crazy once the vhs tape came. Now after idfk how many years Ive seen it again and it still holds up tremendously imo. Also Joanne Whalley as Sorsha 30 yrs later still gets my heart pumping. Fucking beautiful back then. Loved her in recent projects but that one still is my favorite.

I think if anything looked off in this movie it is just how young Warwick clearly was (17-18) and having him play a father with 2 kids. His youth is just overwhelmingly apparent 30 yrs later.

Airk is still one of the saddest deaths ever. It was crazy how that along with Sorshas beauty bull rushed itself back into my head.

If a series does get made omfg I hope Joanna will be back once again as Sorsha.

I saw Klaus yesterday and I really loved it. Very different type of take on the myth and it was heartwarming to watch.

Anyone seen Color out of Space yet? There's no release date for Denmark as far as I can tell but I really need to see that film.

BAD BOYS FOR LIFE is excellent. Like seriously, a 3rd movie in an action series (especially a long sequel one) has no business being as great as this was!

Also Vanessa Hudgens.
