New Foundation Movie trailer (Based on Isac Assimov's book series):

Hard to get any real grasp on the movies plot from the trailer but interesting to see the adaption. It looks very spectacular, yet when I recall the books I think of something very pulpy. Like the Jetsons or Flash Gordon.

OK, looks interesting.

Just watched the trailer for that Netflix Western and yeah I'll agree it looks flipping ace.

Pluto is pretty sweet in many regards, especially some of the live channels, just know that it's part of a new-ish streaming trend of offering you a library of free uncut movies, but they're interrupted by commercial breaks pretty haphazardly (like potentially right in the middle of a scene or dialogue) as the 'price' you pay for free. No big whoop for the most part. There are some less legit streaming apps that do this but stack up commercials like crazy though.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I saw it on Netflix last night when scrolling

I thought it was a live action but the trailer on Netflix was awful bad CGI, like they just lifted it from the older games bad

I watched The Tomorrow War yesterday. It was pretty good.

Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely ridiculous, even fairly predictable. But damn me if it wasn't an entertaining movie.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I binned it off after seeing IGN gave it 3/10 but may give it a shot now.

I watched Bill & Ted Face the Music (now on HULU, in the U.S.). It's not as good as the first two and has some obvious limitations as kind of a niche project with a small-ish budget, but it's a cute and good-natured nostalgia trip if you're feeling receptive to one. It's not as funny or as patient with its plot or its characters as it could be, but ah well, if anyone can coast on good will it might be these two goofballs. It does more right than Coming 2 America did, at least. William Sadler (returning as Death) and Anthony Carrigan (the scene-stealer from Barry) are both very good and very funny in this.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Re-watching BLADE RUNNER 2049, and man I always forget how gorgeous this flick is and how incredible the score is. Easily in my top ten fave movies of all time, might even be top 5.

I saw this on Saturday. It's certainly not great but there are some excellent moments.

I saw the ending coming a long way off though.

Everyone needs to go watch LA 92. It's on Disney+ in Canada and I THINK Netflix in the States (could be D+ there too, as it's Nat Geo).

I don't know what it is about documentaries about events that took place in my own lifetime that make it affect me on another level. We heard about the bigger points of the LA Riots in '92 in Canada, like the Rodney King beating and the subsequent miscarriage of justice with the cops getting off, and whatnot....but like I had no idea about Latasha Harlins, another innocent death and miscarriage of justice, the Watts 1965 events as well were completely unknown to me as a Canadian.

This is also one of my fave types of documentaries, in that there are no talking heads. Footage from all avenues at the time is allowed to speak for itself, and I always feel that's more genuine and poignant in this type of doc.

Anyways, it's a stunning, thought-provoking, and just genuinely incredibly made documentary of the whole situation. WELL WELL worth your time if you've not seen it.

Is Gunpowder Milkshake on anyone's radar? Looks like a John Wick type flick, but instead with female assassins, who operate out of a library. Yes please.

I can't remember when I last saw a Bruce Willis film and didn't wonder why he doesn't just retire. He was perhaps my favorite actor in the 80s and 90s because he added a perfect mix of humanity and comedy to his action characters. Now there's no magic to his name any longer.

I watched all the Fear Street movies. The first two are both squarely "okay" imo -- BK is totally right that the period aspect is just on the surface....everything about them seems very modern except like there's no cell phones, and the music matches the time (but songs are largely obvious choices). The scripts don't really do anything new either, but the kills are occasionally pretty great and there's kind of a commitment to all around Rater R territory I wasn't expecting.
The third one though is actually a step up. Not great, but less generic, more interesting, and it actually wraps the overall story up pretty nicely. It captures more of the magic the first two were trying for. They all come as a package since it's one long story, and they're each well over the 90 minutes they should be, so I guess you just gotta cost-benefit your time.

They came with white hands and left with red hands.
