First of all: I'll add a link with a bigger version, tomorrow, if you want me to. Because the thing is an A2 format on paper and worth thirty hours of work, and just to make you look at all the tiny workers scrambling ontop of the dome and the people in the streets. And because Tehol's face looks screwed up in the small version. But I'm too tired now.

And most likely most of you imagine the Eternal Domicile in a different colour, like white or someting. I just used the colour most convenient for the overall picture. I really wanted to put the bed in there, but it didn't fit, damn it ;)

Wow dude. Friggin amazing. I never imagined Tehol with long hair (Might have missed his description but whatever) but otherwise it looks awesome! I like how you portrayed Bugg, seems like he has some massive ass platform shoes on though hahaha.

Awesome though, the colour fits in well with the landscape and overall looks amazing. Great work, keep it up! :p
I still heart Goodkind.

I envision Bugg looking just like Mr. McGoo........and Tehol bigger because Bugg mentions he doesn't know how Tehol keeps his muscles from turning to fat because he doesn't do anything.
Looking for books that hold a candle to the Malazan series or the Shanara series. PM me if you can recommend one. :)

That looks great! Though Tehol looks a bit like a woman.

It's very good, great stuff.

The only thing for me is I thought Tehol's clothing to be a little more motley, like patched up out of many materials basically whatever Bugg had at hand to make it with. But that's a minor thing.

I think the color of patinated green bronze works quite well for the Eternal Domicile. Gives the impression of a building that's been there for long time. For the time I can't remember how long it had been actually under construction.

Not sure about Tehol and Buggs clothes. Tehol's should be more patched up from different kinds of wools and I think Buggs clothes are too clean and sophisticated as well. I always kinda pictured him clothed in a random assortment of rags.

Although Tehol is a saucy good looking fella' I think he looks a bit too young. I figured he was somewhere in his 30's maybe, being the middle brother of the bunch.
No, my username has nothing to do with a certain wickan warlock. The damned biach stole my username as far as I know.

Looks really good. I think that the colour for the top of the Eternal Domicile (Enternaly unfinished) works well especially when you consider how long they've been working on the building. It would have been cool to get a canal into the picture (maybe I'm not seeing it) but other wise some really good work.

Also would have been funny if you had artists on other roofs trying to paint Tehol like in MT.

I think this is a very lovely piece of work and the addition of lots and lots of small details really brings it together, especially since it's real paint and brush!

For clothes and hair and whatnot I think it's great, and of course it doesn't mesh perfectly with everyone's personal envisioning, but that's always going to happen because everyone imagines these things differently anyway. Stuff like long hair is totally fine, Tehol is poor after all, he can't afford haircuts! (And the "platform shoes" is just the shadow being case by his feet to whoever pointed that out). I am curious as to what exactly is below Bugg, behind his legs. It looks like a bird, maybe? Or a puddle? Or am I just seeing things...

Architecturally, the Eternal Domicile looks splendid, and actually I think the colours go very well for it. The only thing that looks a bit wonky to me is the towers rising from each of the wings - most of them seem to sort of emerge from behind the wings as opposed to being part of the structure (the green-topped one is pretty good, it's mostly the gold ones).

City-plannerly, there's a bit of crazy going on, but I think you were trying to get some different diversity into the various buildings. However, for the sake of constructionism, I'll point out that the sort of boxy slum-like housing units with the gazillion clothes-lines (which look perfect, btw) probably shouldn't be right next to the Eternal Domicile. To Iskar Jarak, there is totally a canal in the picture, on the right side passing along behind the Domicile (actually if you did a mirroring of this image {ie left side becomes right and vice versa} it could match the geography of the map in MT pretty good!).

Wonderful stuff, the scope of each successive project you take on is grander and grander every time, Puck, and you always pull it off beautifully!

(P.S. Tehol has a tall house, lol)

You mean this quote?

'Hah!' He ran a hand through his hair and struck a casual pose. 'How do I look?'
Bugg handed him the shirt. 'How you manage to keep those muscles when you do nothing buffles me,' he said.
'A Beddict trait, dear sad minion of mine. You should see Brys, under all that armour. But even he looks scrawny when compared to Hull. As the middle son, I of course represent the perfect balance. Wit, physical prowess and a multitude of talents to match my natural grace. When combined with my extraordinary ability to waste it all, you see, standing before you, the exquisite culmination.'
'A fine and pathetic speech,' Bugg said with a nod.

I always took it to be meant rather ironic. That it rather means that Tehol looks surprisingly healthy compared to his lifestyle. Besides, havinf muscles doesn't mean to be Hulk. Every healthy man has got muscles, but they wear off if you just sit around doing nothing like Tehol does. And I don't see many men running around in the street who look like Hulk, although they have muscles. Second point, did you ever wear a woolen shirt like two sizes too big? Doesn't matter how much muscled you are, it won't be seen. Well, these are at least my lines of thought on this. I did my homework and searched for quotes about Tehol and this one was the only one mentioning it. There's a kind of corresponding dialogue at the end of MT where they take up the health issue again, this time serious [after Bugg mends Tehol's bones and Tehol is too weak to joke around. He says how surpriding it is, that they both stayed healthy while eating so little and only bad stuff on top. Another scene has Tehol mentioned as 'a man in his thierties' without any further discriprion, etc.

I don't want to say that I've got the ultimate Tahol image, what I put into the picture is what I get out of all the quotes. Bugg is another matter, though. That's how I imagine him, just my image I got while reading :p

He wears a 'badly made wooled shirt' [<- quote], freshly knitted by Bugg and a blanket. sadly, the blanket is never further disribed :D

Tehol's shirt is made of grey wool. The trousers he wears later are made of grey and dirty yellow wool. So not patched up, at least not the shirt. You may be right on Bugg's clothes, though. I just imagine him being the kind of person who looks after what he wears, so the clothes might be old but hardly ragged. Just my thoughts, though :p

There are even two canals :D Part of one in the left-hand bottom corner and one going pretty much through the middle of the image. But damn, I really forgot the artists, should have thought about them, considered how much I going on about quotes and having done my homework in this post. My shame :p

What lies at Bugg's feet was supposed to be heap of grey wool, what's left over after knitting the shirt. I admit to having got lazy at this point.

Of course, you're totally right about the buildings's construction. That my first attempt at a city in perspective and I though spent hours figuring out the layout and had reference pictures of oriental cities, it's the best I could come up with. Now I know what I can do and what not and what I will have to try better at given a next time :p

And thank you, your words are really encouraging and I appreciate the criticism :)

Great job Puck. Is that watercolor? I can't paint using watercolor. I envy the amount of your patience, I wouldn't dream of spending that much time on the details.

Yes, it is.

And thank you, though there aren't enough details for my liking. See, I wasn't patient enough to put more details in, seriously *g*
