pokes head out to see if anyone around... good no one
As i have been off around lurking and finally decided to pop back up to post as I need help..
I am in the process of building a new comp and is thinking of which speakers and sound card to get
after surfing the net, the best speakers are the logitech z5500..
now as i got some relatives currently holidaying in the US and seeing that the price of the speakers are damm low compared to Malaysia, I am very very tempted to get a good second hand set and having my relatives bringing it back as i could save around 50%
however, there is the issue of power supply
could any current owner of a set of american power supplied z5500 take a photo or list out its power requirements as whether or not, it would take a 240v 60hz, power supply.. or do i need to get a converter to step up the power..
goes to knee and begs... please let me know asap as i need to bid on the bay and get cheap good speakers
on the other hand.. does anyone know of what sound card to go with teh speakers,
i am currently floating between audigy 2 or xi-fi titanium..
please let me know whats the best bang for buck
thanks

If It's US, it will be 120v to start with. And from looking at the speaker set up, you will need two 120v outlets to run this.
I don't think you will be able to just change a power supply. The sub woofer will more than likely be a US standard two prong plug. The control center will use a power supply that you could possibly change to what you use in (Malaysia?) for voltage. But the sub I don't think can be.
In the end I think you will need a converter with at least to plugs. IMHO

Don't mind Bent, he's from the south and never finished grade school.
Now go back and start counting your fingers and toes Bent, and stop when you reach 44.

Most modern adapters does the whole range from 100-240V/50-60Hz. Can't imagine any international tech company doing it any other way now. Just buy the thing and, worst case scenario, you'll have to buy a new adapter in Malaysia.
